Recently, the My Quy Tay Border Guard Station (Border Guard of Long An province) coordinated with the Tay Ninh Provincial Red Cross Society, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and the My Quy Tay Commune Red Cross Society (Duc Hue district) to dismantle the temporary house and build a new house for Ms. Phan Thi Dac (born in 1939, residing in Hamlet 4, My Quy Tay Commune, Duc Hue District).

Giving gifts to the elderly in difficult circumstances

Mrs. Dac is an elderly person with difficult circumstances in the area, currently living alone in a temporary house. She is 1 of 2 elderly people that the My Quy Tay Border Guard received support and care from.

Accordingly, implementing the direction of the Party Committee and the Provincial Border Guard Command on receiving support and caring for the elderly in difficult circumstances, My Quy Tay Border Guard coordinated with the Party Committee and authorities of My Quy Tay and My Quy Dong communes, Duc Hue district, to support 2 cases.

In addition to Ms. Phan Thi Dac, the Station also supports Ms. Huynh Thi Non (born in 1950, residing in Hamlet 6, My Quy Dong Commune). The support level is 500,000 VND/month. Along with that, the unit assigns officers to visit, encourage and support the two women every week and month.

In recent times, in addition to the Elderly Support and Care model, My Quy Tay Border Guard has been effectively implementing programs and models such as the Love Rice Jar , One Address per Week, directly adopting 1 student in the Border Guard Adoption model, sponsoring 4 border students and 2 border students on the opposite side of Cambodia in the Step Up to School program.

In addition, the unit also sent 12 party members to participate in activities at 12 border hamlet party cells and 34 party members in charge of 155 households, which were highly appreciated by the local Party Committee, government and people.

The above practical and specific actions have contributed to strengthening the solidarity between the army and the people, spreading the noble image of Uncle Ho's soldiers in the hearts of people in the border areas./.
