Rice price today April 1: All increase simultaneously

Rice prices today, April 1, 2025, in the Mekong Delta region fluctuated slightly. The market has a small volume, some fresh rice and raw rice products continued to increase slightly compared to the beginning of the week.

Regarding rice, according to the update from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, the price of Nang Hoa 9 rice has increased by 150 VND/kg, fluctuating at 6,550 - 6,650 VND/kg; the price of Dai Thom 8 rice (fresh) fluctuates at 6,600 - 6,700 VND/kg; the price of OM 18 rice (fresh) fluctuates at 6,600 - 6,700 VND/kg; the price of OM 5451 rice (fresh) fluctuates at 5,800 - 5,900 VND/kg; the price of IR 50404 rice (fresh) fluctuates at 5,600 - 5,700 VND/kg; the price of OM 380 rice (fresh) fluctuates at 5,500 - 5,800 VND/kg.

Recorded in many localities today, the supply is low, buying and selling transactions are steady. In An Giang, farmers offer high prices, few buyers, slow transactions. In Kien Giang, rice supply is scattered in Hon Dat, Kien Luong, farmers offer prices up.

In Soc Trang, there is not much rice left, transactions are few, prices are stable. In Hau Giang, rice is still in the fields, sources are decreasing, transactions are absent. In Dong Thap, all types of 3-crop rice are offered at increased prices, transactions are mixed, prices tend to increase.

Similarly, with rice, according to the update from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, currently, raw rice IR 504 increased by 100 VND/kg, fluctuating at 7,900 - 8,000 VND/kg; raw rice OM 380 increased by 100 VND/kg, fluctuating at 7,700 - 7,800 VND/kg; raw rice 5451 fluctuated at 8,600 - 8,750 VND/kg; finished rice OM 380 fluctuated at 8,800 - 9,000 VND/kg; finished rice IR 504 fluctuated at 9,500 - 9,700 VND/kg.

As for by-products, the price of by-products ranges from 6,600 - 9,000 VND/kg. Currently, broken rice 3-4 ranges from 6,600 - 6,700 VND/kg; bran price ranges from 8,000 - 9,000 VND/kg.

Recorded in localities today, the quantity is better, warehouses buy fragrant rice regularly, rice prices have increased slightly. In An Giang, the quantity is intermittent, warehouses give higher prices for good rice. In Lap Vo (Dong Thap), the quantity is intermittent, warehouses buy regularly, prices fluctuate slightly.

Sa Dec market canal (Dong Thap), the quantity is better, warehouses buy regularly with fragrant sticky rice, stable prices. At An Cu (Cai Be, Tien Giang), the quantity is small, buying and selling transactions are regular, prices fluctuate little.

At retail markets, rice prices of all kinds remained unchanged compared to the beginning of the week. Currently, Nang Nhen rice has the highest listed price of VND28,000/kg; regular rice fluctuates at VND15,000-16,000/kg; long-grain fragrant rice fluctuates at VND20,000-22,000/kg; Huong Lai rice fluctuates at VND22,000/kg; Jasmine fragrant rice fluctuates at VND18,000-20,000/kg; Nang Hoa rice fluctuates at VND22,000/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice fluctuates at VND21,000/kg; common white rice fluctuates at VND17,000/kg; Soc regular rice fluctuates at VND18,000/kg; Soc Thai rice is priced at VND21,000/kg; Japanese rice is priced at VND22,000/kg.

In the export market, Vietnam's rice export prices today decreased slightly compared to last weekend. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), currently 5% standard rice is at 399 USD/ton (down 1 USD/ton); 25% broken rice is at 369 USD/ton; 100% broken rice is at 325 USD/ton.
