Gemini will soon be integrated for Ask Photos feature

Android Authority recently found four lines of code in Google's latest beta for Android that mention the Ask Photos extension for Gemini, suggesting that the Ask Photos feature may be rolling out soon.

Ask Photos is a personal photo assistant that understands your memories. You can start a conversation with Gemini in Google Photos and share a description of the photo you want. Google Photos is built with AI at its core. Ask Photos powered by Gemini will help you have an enhanced experience.

Ask Photos will let you search for specific moments in your photos by asking Google Photos questions, giving you an AI-powered overview instead of having to manually search through thousands of stored moments.

Google also mentions that Ask Photos has better privacy than Chat wuth Gemini. Unlike chats with the Gemini app or web, chats along with photos are kept private with Ask Photos.

This feature could help Gemini become more popular, helping more people sign up for the paid version of Google's AI assistant.
