Previous sources revealed that the Galaxy S25 Ultra could launch exclusively with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 4.
Recently, the locked version of the Galaxy S25 Ultra for the US market (SM-S938U) appeared on the Geekbench performance software. Accordingly, the device scored 3,096 points in single-core and 9,080 points in multi-core, lower than the standard Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 on the OnePlus 13, which scored 3,296 points in single-core and 10,049 points in multi-core in the same test.
From Geekbench data, it can be seen that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 for Galaxy chip on the S25 Ultra has a lower clock speed than the regular Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. The two high-performance cores are clocked at only 4.19 GHz while the clock speed of the 6 energy-saving cores is only 2.90 GHz.
Previous leaks have suggested that the device will feature a completely flat design - a major design change as the upcoming Galaxy flagship could look similar to recent Meizu devices with flat edges and slightly more rounded corners than the S24 Ultra.
The S25 Ultra will use a quad-camera system on the back. The cameras include a 200MP main sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP periscope lens with 5x optical zoom. Both telephoto cameras will have PDAF and OIS. The phone is also said to use a new version of the 1/2.76-inch JN1 sensor for the ultra-wide camera, with a resolution of 50MP.
Samsung will also keep the battery capacity of the Galaxy S model at 5,000 mAh for the S25 Ultra and is expected to come pre-installed with the OneUI 7 user interface based on Android 15 operating system at launch.
