Witnessing the changes of the city, photographer Ong Van Sinh told a lot about the changes of the city through images. The evidence is through the photos he took over 50 years. Photographer Ong Van Sinh shared that the slums along the east bank of the Han River have been demolished, the sandy roads that are only wide enough for one person to walk, the makeshift fishing villages along the coast of My Khe, Man Thai, Tho Quang, Ha Than ferry... are no longer there, giving way to rows of streets, avenues, buildings; Dragon Bridge, Tran Thi Ly Bridge, Thuan Phuoc Bridge... have been built one after another to create a modern city.

Meanwhile, Mr. Dang Hoa (owner of Han Giang Cruise) said that in the past 30 years, from the days when tourists were only few in number when they took a boat to see the sights on the Han River, now in the evening, dozens of passenger boats go up and down the Han River. On both sides of the Han River, the city has built many highlight projects: Da Nang Museum, high-rise complexes, high-rise commercial and service buildings, complexes, highlight projects on tourist routes; international fireworks complex, highlight projects in the open space of the Cham Sculpture Museum - APEC Park - Bach Dang Street - Nguyen Van Troi Bridge - Tran Hung Dao Street - Dragon Bridge. "Tourists coming to Da Nang sit on a cruise boat and stroll on the Han River, admiring the modern scenery on both sides of the river and constantly admiring," Mr. Hoa proudly said.

The two banks of the Han River will continue to be more bustling and brilliant every day as many projects are implemented in the coming time. Specifically, a super project of 38 marinas with a total investment of 7,260 billion VND, stretching from the Han River, Da Nang Bay to Son Tra beach will be implemented in the 2024-2030 period, with a vision to 2050. In addition, the "River of Light" project with a total capital of 400 billion VND will enhance the landscape of the Han River at night. The artistic lighting system on the bridges, riverside landscapes and green parks will turn the Han River into a "grand stage of light", combined with cultural and entertainment activities, creating a unique tourist highlight and promoting the night-time economy. In addition, Da Nang also approved the planning of the Han River tunnel to be implemented in the 2021-2030 period with a design of 3 lanes in each direction, connecting Son Tra and Hai Chau districts. The project not only completes the transportation network but also creates favorable conditions to promote tourism and economic development in the east coast region.

Not only the landscape, in recent times, large domestic and foreign companies and economic groups such as Sun Group, Vin Group, Aeon, Samsung or Lotte... will deploy large-scale entertainment, service and resort complexes. Thanks to that, Da Nang has become "Asia's leading festival event destination" or "Top best destination in the world" with a series of iconic works and classy destinations such as Golden Bridge, Ba Na Hills, InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort and a series of large-scale festivals such as the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival...

Currently, Da Nang has a complete infrastructure of air, water, road and railway. Da Nang International Airport is one of the busiest airports in the country, connecting directly to many places in the world. By 2030, Da Nang International Airport aims to plan and invest in developing a number of important projects towards expanding and upgrading the airport to a capacity of 25-30 million passengers/year; including expanding Terminal T1 to the southeast, investing in building a new domestic Terminal T3 with a capacity of 15 million passengers/year.

According to the Department of Tourism, based on existing resources, infrastructure, service systems, and planning approved by the Government, Da Nang aims to develop sustainable tourism. At the same time, implementing planning and key development orientations of the industry according to the roadmap: Da Nang city tourism development plan in 2025; night-time economic development plan, inland waterway tourism development plan, culinary development plan into tourism products and key projects and plans approved by the city according to the roadmap... Up to now, Da Nang has affirmed itself as a destination chosen by domestic and foreign tourists. The number of visitors to the city is increasing; in the first quarter of 2025 alone, the total number of visitors served by accommodation establishments in the area is estimated at nearly 2.54 million, an increase of more than 19% over the same period last year. Of which, international visitors are estimated at nearly 1.27 million, an increase of more than 42%; Domestic visitors were nearly 1.27 million, up nearly 3% over the same period. Revenue from accommodation and food services in the first 3 months of this year is estimated at nearly 7,400 billion VND, accounting for nearly 20% of total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue, up more than 20% over the same period last year...
