Sea tourism in the season of welcoming international visitors

On October 26, the Quantum of the Seas cruise ship carrying more than 2,800 passengers docked at Phu My port, beginning its journey to explore Ho Chi Minh City and Ba Ria - Vung Tau.

According to the schedule, most of the group will participate in tours with activities such as: experiencing Vietnamese coffee culture, enjoying cuisine, cycling in the countryside and cooking classes. The activities are designed by Saigontourist Travel with high quality for European, American and Australian tourists with high spending levels.

A representative of Saigontourist Travel – the unit that welcomed the ship – said Quantum of the Seas is one of the largest passenger ships in the world, providing a travel experience integrated with modern technology.

Just one day ago, the Celebrity Millennium ship also brought more than 3,000 international tourists to Chan May port (Hue City, Thua Thien Hue), starting a tour of the Central heritage sites from Hue, Da Nang to Hoi An.

The ship will continue to move to Phu My port (Ba Ria - Vung Tau) on October 27, expanding opportunities for tourists to explore the South with Ho Chi Minh City, Ba Ria - Vung Tau and the southwestern provinces.

“With the Celebrity Millennium, the highlights are the luxurious interior, restaurants, bars, theaters and duty-free shopping areas, meeting standards far beyond those of 5-star resorts. The attractive itinerary design from local travel companies will contribute to attracting more international cruise ships in the coming time, affirming Vietnam's position on the regional sea tourism map,” the representative of the unit welcoming the ship added.

Thus, in just three days from October 25 to 27, nearly 6,000 international tourists from two 5-star cruise ships docked at Vietnamese ports and explored many attractive tourist destinations across the country. Welcoming a series of large international cruise ships will create growth momentum for sea tourism in Vietnam in the last months of the year.

Chosen as a destination on the cruise itineraries of large international cruise ships, Vietnam is aiming to build a sustainable cruise tourism network in the future.

In particular, during the 2024-2025 cruise season, localities will continue to welcome hundreds of thousands of visitors, including many luxury cruise ships.
