Attending the Hanoi Autumn Festival 2024 from the first opening day, Le Thu Ha, residing in Nam Tu Liem district, Hanoi, eagerly brought her whole family to visit the booths and watch many interesting activities within the framework of the event.

“Although the Festival is smaller in scale this time, the quality of the program is still guaranteed. I brought my daughter along so she could experience cultural activities and enjoy autumn art performances. From there, she will understand more about the city she lives in. I think these things are very valuable because children often do not have the opportunity to fully learn from books,” Le Thu Ha shared.

In the series of activities taking place in this Hanoi Autumn Festival, Ms. Thu Ha was impressed by the special art performances on the opening night.

“The songs in the program are arranged in chronological order, from the war years to the moment when our army and people returned victorious. And autumn is subtly integrated, following each historical period, leading the audience’s emotions,” Ms. Thu Ha added.

Sharing the same pride, Ms. Vu Thi Ly did not mind the long distance, taking a bus from Yen Bai to Hanoi to enjoy the fresh air and experience the Festival. “Autumn in Hanoi is very special, the weather has a bit of the warmth of the past summer, and a bit of the cold of the upcoming winter. Today's festival is really wonderful, the organization is meticulous and attracts many tourists from the provinces to attend,” said Ms. Ly.

Hanoi is a land of many cultural values. With more than 6,000 historical and cultural relics, many of which are recognized by UNESCO, the city has gradually become one of the top tourist destinations in Vietnam. At the same time, it is known to tourists as a prominent cultural and historical center in the Asian region.

According to Nguyen Ngoc Kieu Trang, a third-year student at the Academy of Journalism and Communication, the venue is located right on the shore of Hoan Kiem Lake - the "heart of the capital" and the arrangement of exhibition booths along the lake is one of the factors that make the Hanoi Autumn Festival attractive this time. The organization of many exciting activities during the festival has contributed to creating beautiful memories for visitors and Hanoians.

Coming to this year’s Festival, tourists will not only see the production process of handicrafts but also have the opportunity to listen to interesting stories about the journey of preserving the fire and profession of artisans. From bamboo weaving, bronze casting, embroidery, pottery making to fan making, typical craft villages of Hanoi are gathered in the same unique exhibition space in the city center.

Visiting Hanoi during the Autumn Festival, Joe from Australia said that Hanoi is an extremely interesting city and worth spending a lot of time exploring. “When watching artisans practice their crafts, I also learned more about the process of maintaining and protecting the skills of the craft villages from many generations against the changes of time,” Joe said.

The goal of the Hanoi Autumn Festival 2024 is not only to attract tourists in the fall, but also to build the image of Hanoi as a year-round destination with quality cultural and artistic events. The event also contributes to promoting sustainable tourism development, improving service quality and expanding unique products, contributing to affirming Hanoi's position on the international tourism map.
