Update on world pepper prices from the International Pepper Community (IPC) on the afternoon of April 4, 2025 as follows: the pepper market tends to decrease, in which pepper prices in Malaysia have decreased from 50 - 100 USD/ton; markets in other countries remain stable, anchored at a high level.
Specifically, IPC listed the price of Indonesian Lampung black pepper at 7,239 USD/ton; similarly, Muntok white pepper is currently purchased at 10,066 USD/ton.
The Malaysian pepper market tends to decrease again after many sessions of little fluctuation, a decrease of 50 - 100 USD/ton. Currently, the price of Malaysian ASTA black pepper is purchased at 9,850 USD/ton and the price of ASTA white pepper is at 12,300 USD/ton.
Pepper prices in Brazil have slightly decreased after a long period of stability, down 50 USD/ton, currently the purchase price is 7,000 USD/ton.
Vietnam's pepper export market is stable and remains high. Specifically, the export price of Vietnam's black pepper is currently at 7,100 USD/ton for 500 g/l; 550 g/l is at 7,300 USD/ton and the price of white pepper is at 10,100 USD/ton.
