Coffee price forecast tomorrow 3/2/202 5
The coffee market is currently being heavily influenced by bullish speculation, especially on the prospects of the new crop in Brazil. Recent forecasts indicate that the total coffee production in the upcoming season may be lower than initially forecast, creating a shortage of supply and price pressure in the domestic market of Brazil.
Although the new crop is still in its development stage, some believe that coffee supplies will remain stable to meet both domestic and export demand from the harvest expected in the second half of 2025. The National Coffee Association (NCA) also forecasts that the coffee industry in the United States, the world's largest economy, will grow slightly next year, with coffee consumption estimated at 24 million bags per year. Sales in 2024 are expected to reach $19.7 billion and are expected to increase slightly this year.
In Vietnam, Ms. Nguyen Vi Ha - Deputy Director of Nong Nguyen Company Limited (Di Linh District, Lam Dong) said that last week, domestic coffee prices approached the 130,000 VND/kg mark, an average increase of about 3,500 VND/kg compared to the previous week. Ms. Ha explained that this price is not surprising because the Lunar New Year holiday caused most commercial activities to stop trading.
“Due to the unpredictable price of coffee recently, our company does not have enough resources to stock up before Tet, leading to no goods to sell to partners,” Ms. Ha added.
Regarding the forecast for coffee prices tomorrow, February 3, 2025, Ms. Ha commented that prices may remain stable or decrease, instead of continuing to increase like a few days ago.
