Taking the mother and her calf cows to graze in the fields near her house, Mrs. H'Prai Nie (born in 1959) happily said: My family has been poor for many years, with little land, and my mother and I mainly work for hire to make ends meet. When receiving the cows, the veterinary staff organized vaccinations, gave instructions on care and disease prevention for the cows. Following the staff's instructions, the cows developed very well, and in less than a year they gave birth, my family was very happy. In addition to grazing, my family members and I took the time to cut grass for the cows to eat, and regularly cleaned the barns. Good care and healthy cows will be the motivation for the family to overcome difficulties and escape poverty.

H'Nghim Triet (born in 1985) and Y Phi Nie, Ea Drai A village, Tan Tien commune, have 5 children. Their main income depends on 2 sao of rice fields and a small amount of land for growing short-term agricultural crops. They and their children work as hired laborers to make ends meet. Therefore, H'Nghim's family has not been able to escape poverty. At the end of 2023, her family was supported to have 1 child give up giving birth to develop the economy under the National Target Program 1719.

Ms. H'Nghim Triet, Ea Drai A hamlet, Tan Tien commune said: She will take good care of the cows so that they can grow into a herd, because this is an opportunity for her family to step out of poverty.

Ms. H'Nghim shared: My family is very happy to receive the cow support. When we first received it, it was still skinny. We took care of the cow according to the staff's instructions and it grew well. Up to now, my family's cow has given birth to 1 calf. If we take good care of the cow, it will develop into a herd, creating a stable source of income for the family. This is also an opportunity for my family to gradually step out of poverty.

According to the report, Tan Tien commune was supported with 41 cows from the National Target Program 1719, of which Ea Drai A village received 20 cows. All households receiving the supported cows joined the community group to encourage, help each other, and share experiences in the care process. All households took good care of the breeding cows, and so far most of the cows have given birth.

Mr. Y Sa Ko Byă, Head of Ea Drai A village, Head of the village's cattle raising community group, said: As the group leader, I regularly check and encourage people to take care of breeding animals, and report the situation to the commune every month. Help ethnic minorities rise up

Implementing Content No. 1, Sub-project 2, Project 3 to support production development according to value chain, National Target Program 1719, Krong Pac district has supported 362 cows and 48 goats for poor ethnic minority households in the communes of Ea Yieng, Tan Tien, Ea Hiu, Ea Uy, Vu Bon, Krong Buk, Ea Phe. In addition to supporting breeding animals, the district also organized technical training for households in the project. The total cost of the project is nearly 7.5 billion VND.

Vu Bon Commune is the locality that receives the most cow support from the National Target Program 1719 capital in the district. 72 cows. Before being delivered, the cows and goats were monitored and checked by veterinary staff and given three types of vaccines to ensure that the delivered cows were healthy, flexible, free of infectious diseases, and had no deformities. Up to now, the cows have developed well and reproduced well.

The management board of the project to support the development of community production of breeding cattle in the commune regularly inspects and encourages people to take care of breeding animals.

Head of the Ethnic Affairs Department of Krong Pac district, Pham Hong Thai, shared: Based on the review according to the proposal of the People's Committees of the communes, the expected allocation of quantity for each commune. The People's Committee of the district directed the communes to hold meetings with people in the villages and hamlets that were supported for review and group meetings to unify the selection of implementation content, elect group leaders and deputy group leaders to manage each group.

At the same time, establish a Project Management Board to support the development of community production of breeding cows. Based on the group meeting minutes, the communes agree on the implementation content and notify people to register.

In general, the implementation of the project to support the development of production according to the value chain is gradually changing the habits and thinking of agricultural production of the people. In particular, supporting livestock breeds contributes to improving the lives of poor and near-poor households, gradually reducing poverty quickly and sustainably.
