On February 26, speaking with SGGP Newspaper reporters, the leader of the People's Procuracy of Dong Nai province said that they had just completed the indictment to prosecute a group of "brokers" who bribed and received protection money for overloaded vehicles passing through Suoi Tre Traffic Police Station.

Specifically, the defendants Truong Cong Quang, Tran Quang Tan, Nguyen Dang Khoa, Dang Van Ut, Tran Thi Dieu Hoa, Nguyen Van Hau, Ngo Van Dam, and Le Bao Ngoc were prosecuted for the crime of "Bribery brokerage"; the defendants Le Bao Ngoc, Hoang Thi Viet Ha, Hoang Hiep, Hoang Thanh Sy, and Ta Thi Thu Tra were prosecuted for the crime of "Fraudulent appropriation of property".

According to the indictment, from January 2021 to September 2022, Truong Cong Quang colluded with Hau, Ut, Dam, Hoa, and Ngoc to collect money from vehicle owners and drivers who violated the Road Traffic Law with a total amount of more than 2.7 billion VND and then gave the money to Tran Quang Tan to bribe traffic police to ignore, not check, and not handle administrative violations.

Ngoc and Ha promised to "protect" people and vehicles that violated traffic laws, appropriating 987 million VND; with similar tricks, Hoang Hiep, Sy and Tra appropriated 900 million VND...
