On October 16, Vice Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Son Hung and Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department Nguyen Thi Hong Trang chaired a conference to review science, education, culture and society work in the first 9 months of 2024 and directions and tasks for the last 3 months of the year.

The policy of supporting teachers at all levels in the province has been implemented with attention; the religious and ethnic situation in the province is stable, the effectiveness and efficiency of state management of beliefs and religions has been enhanced.
However, there are still some problems in the implementation of activities in various fields, such as the increasing trend of hand, foot and mouth disease; and the unpredictable developments of rabies and monkey pox.
The situation of children suffering from accidents, injuries, and sexual abuse is still high; social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance debts for organizations and individuals are large and have been for a long time...
Regarding the issue of illegal fees at the beginning of the school year, Ms. Truong Thi Kim Hue, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Dong Nai province, said that on October 15, the Department worked with a school about illegal fees at the beginning of the school year. The Department requested the school to return the illegal fees.
To thoroughly resolve this issue, the Department will invite heads of education departments of districts and cities, and principals of high schools in the province to work this weekend. The schools will sign a commitment with the Department on the fees collected. If any unit has a complaint or violates the law on overcharging, the school representative will be responsible. For facilities under local authority, the leaders of the Department of Education and Training request that local leaders pay attention to directing to avoid overcharging.
Concluding the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Son Hung requested each unit and locality to continue to closely follow thematic resolutions related to the field of science, education, culture and society, and specific tasks in the fourth quarter to implement and complete assigned tasks well.
