To prepare for the 23rd session - the regular session at the end of 2024 of the Provincial People's Council, on the afternoon of November 15, Comrade Trinh Thi Minh Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, together with the delegation of the Provincial People's Council and the People's Council of Uong Bi City, had a meeting with voters of Phuong Dong Ward, Uong Bi City.
On behalf of the Provincial People's Council Delegation, Comrade Trinh Thi Minh Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, provided a general information to all voters of Phuong Dong ward about the program of the year-end regular session of the Provincial People's Council; the results of handling the petitions of Uong Bi City voters sent to the 2024 mid-year regular session and previous sessions of the Provincial People's Council.
Regarding the socio-economic situation in 2024, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee affirmed: In 2024, in the context of opportunities and advantages intertwined with more difficulties and challenges, with the determination, efforts, solidarity, joint efforts and consensus of the entire political system, all levels, sectors, people and business community, the socio-economic situation in 2024 achieved many important results in all fields. Before, during and immediately after Storm No. 3 (Yagi), Quang Ninh proactively and resolutely led, directed and effectively organized the work of preventing, responding to and overcoming the consequences of the storm; promptly removed and supported people and businesses to stabilize their lives and restore production and business. The economy continued to maintain growth momentum. Region Services and tourism have achieved many important results, with the total number of tourists reaching 19 million (3 million international visitors), an increase of 22% over the same period. The state budget revenue in the province strives to reach 55,600 billion VND, completing the estimate assigned by the province. Voters of Phuong Dong ward expressed their joy and excitement at the results achieved by the province.
