On the afternoon of March 20, a working delegation of the province led by Comrade Nguyen Phi Long, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, inspected the progress of the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses and the Project of High-tech Agricultural Zone combined with tourism in Thanh Son commune, Mai Chau district. The delegation included Comrade Bui Duc Hinh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of a number of departments, branches, sectors and Mai Chau district.
The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the working delegation presented gifts to a single mother, Ms. Kha Thi Tich, in Noong Luong hamlet, Thanh Son commune (Mai Chau).
In recent times, Mai Chau district in general and Thanh Son commune in particular have effectively implemented the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses. Party committees and authorities at all levels have proactively and flexibly reviewed and classified the subjects and assigned members of the Steering Committee to care for, help, and connect with other families to support labor days to build houses. Regularly visit, discuss, and remove difficulties and obstacles related to the implementation process. From 2024 to June 30, 2025, the entire Mai Chau district has implemented 267 houses, including 223 newly built houses and 44 repaired houses. Currently, 133 houses have been implemented, of which 89 have been completed, 44 are under construction; the remaining houses continue to be implemented; 224/267 households have been supported, with a cost of 13,080 million VND.
In Thanh Son commune alone, there are 14 temporary and dilapidated houses; all 14 houses are newly built; 11 houses have been completed; 3 houses are under construction; 14/14 houses have been supported with a total amount of 840 million VND.
Inspecting the progress of the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Thanh Son commune, the Provincial Party Secretary requested the Party Committee and authorities of Mai Chau district and Thanh Son commune to focus on directing the completion of the goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses for the poor, supporting the poor to "settle down and have a career", striving to stabilize their lives, contributing to socio-economic development.
The working delegation visited, encouraged and gave gifts to the poor household of Mr. Vi Van Su, Nang hamlet and a single-parent household of Mrs. Kha Thi Tich, Noong Luong hamlet.

The total area of this project is 118.17 hectares of 106 households. Up to now, Hoa Binh International Agricultural Development Joint Stock Company has agreed to compensate 105 households, and the company is still negotiating with 1 household. Currently, the project implementation is facing difficulties in land-related procedures, leading to the project being delayed.
The investor proposed that the Provincial People's Committee direct relevant departments and branches to coordinate in removing difficulties and obstacles; support the acceleration of administrative procedures and legal procedures to achieve the goal of starting the project according to the set plan. The investor committed that after completing the procedures, it would start construction and construct the items, and soon put each part of the project into operation to ensure investment efficiency.
Concluding the inspection, the Provincial Party Secretary emphasized: The high-tech agricultural zone project combined with tourism in Thanh Son commune was implemented and put into operation early, which is an expectation for the province's socio-economic development, contributing to improving people's lives and creating jobs for local workers. The Provincial People's Committee is requested to focus on directing departments and branches, closely coordinating with Mai Chau district to support investors in removing difficulties and obstacles; at the same time, supporting the acceleration of administrative procedures, realizing the goal of starting the project according to the plan set out in May 2025, ensuring compliance with legal regulations. In which, urgently handle procedures related to land, land recovery, land lease, land use purpose change; complete investment and construction procedures, fire prevention and fighting. The leaders of Thanh Son commune coordinated with Mai Chau district to mobilize people to support investors in implementing the project. The investor paid attention to ensuring the environmental landscape during construction; Research some native plants that can be grown all year round; recruit local workers...
