The Nguyen Quang family, along with the Party Committee, government and people of Binh An commune, Loc Ha district (Ha Tinh), were excited to receive the certificate of provincial-level historical and cultural relic ranking for Nguyen Quang Da church.

On the morning of August 26, the People's Committee of Binh An commune held a ceremony to receive the certificate of ranking as a provincial historical-cultural relic for Nguyen Quang Da church.

Nguyen Quang Da Temple is known by descendants and local people as the temple to worship the ancestor.

According to history and family genealogy, the Nguyen Quang family appeared in this land around the middle of the 16th century, considered one of the earliest families to migrate here to open up land and establish a village. After more than 500 years of history with more than 20 generations, the Nguyen Quang family in Binh An has become one of the largest families, producing many sages, making many contributions to the construction and development of the homeland.

Giang Tai Marquis Nguyen Quang Da was born in 1610, the year of his death is unknown. He was the third generation of the Nguyen Quang family in this immigrant land. As a child, he intended to pursue a career in writing, but later, he found himself more suited to martial arts, so he joined the army of the Le Trinh dynasty, serving under three kings: Le Chan Tong, Le Than Tong and Le Huyen Tong.

In the historical context of the 17th century with the struggle between the two forces of Dang Trong - Dang Ngoai, the border area of ​​Ha Tinh became the battlefield of many fierce battles. Nguyen Quang Da demonstrated his loyalty, bravely rushed into battle, made many achievements, he was trusted by King Le and Lord Trinh, and was given the title of Thien Ho, Phan Luc Tuong Quan. After his death, he was posthumously awarded the title Giang Tai Hau.

In addition to his glorious achievements, Giang Tai Marquis Nguyen Quang Da also contributed wealth and recruited people to reclaim wasteland and expand his village. Therefore, when he was alive, he became a famous person and when he died, he was well-regarded.

In 1911, when building the family church, the descendants simultaneously built a separate temple to worship Nguyen Quang Da with the title of God. In recognition of his contributions, the Nguyen Dynasty later issued many decrees to confer the title of God.

Currently, Nguyen Quang Da church is a place of worship, offering sacrifices, and gathering for descendants in the family, as well as a place for spiritual and cultural activities and traditional education for people in the area.

Up to now, despite having undergone many renovations and historical events, this relic basically still retains its original architecture, bearing the mark of time through its mossy, ancient features.

In the relic there are also many royal decrees, hats, shoes, wooden swords... and other artifacts commemorating the merits of ancestors, which have historical value.
