Việt NamViệt Nam10/04/2025

On the afternoon of April 10, Chairman of the Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung chaired a meeting with departments, branches, sectors and localities to listen to reports and discuss solutions to problems related to projects with long-term delays and low efficiency. Also attending the meeting were Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Thai Binh, Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Nam Hung and Ho Quang Buu.

Overview of the meeting

According to the report at the meeting, there are currently 143 projects and works using state budget capital (public investment) that are behind schedule or prolonged. Of these, 11 projects have stopped implementation, 9 projects have temporarily stopped implementation, and 123 projects are behind schedule. For projects and works using non-budget capital, there are 95 investment projects for construction of housing, residential areas, and urban areas that are behind schedule by more than 24 months compared to the schedule in the initial investment policy approval document, including: 5 projects are behind schedule by more than 10 years; 23 projects are behind schedule by 5 to 10 years; 67 projects are behind schedule by 24 months to 5 years. Along with that, there are 45 production and business projects that are behind schedule, 5 projects have stopped operating, and 33 projects are behind schedule by 5 to 10 years.

The main reasons are due to the prolonged compensation and site clearance process and the limited financial capacity of investors. Some projects have encountered problems with land procedures, planning adjustments or fluctuations in the real estate market.

At the meeting, localities reported in detail the status of delayed projects, solutions, and proposals and recommendations to the province to remove obstacles in these projects.
