In just over 2 months, the 500 kV line 3 project from Quang Trach (Quang Binh) to Pho Noi (Hung Yen) will reach its operational destination. Investors, contractors and material suppliers are focusing on implementing construction on the entire route. On the two project sections, the 92 km long 500 kV Quynh Luu - Thanh Hoa line and the 74.4 km long 500 kV Thanh Hoa - Nam Dinh 1 Thermal Power Plant line, construction work is being carried out simultaneously at 248/380 column foundation locations, to organize wire pulling construction at the end of April 2024.
On the entire 500 kV transmission line construction route in Thanh Hoa, 48 steel poles are currently being installed. Each pole has a load capacity of hundreds of tons of steel.
Contractor workers - PC1 Group erecting steel pole at position 90 in Ba Dinh commune (Nga Son). This is one of 18 positions of package 40 - the first package in the entire 500 kV line 3 project to complete the foundation casting the earliest. The contractor is making efforts to deploy the construction, striving to complete the pole erection before May 10, then will proceed to pull the wire.
The first column positions of package No. 40 have been completed, passing through the communes of Nga Thien, Nga Truong, Nga Van, Ba Dinh, Nga Thang (Nga Son). This package was handed over on December 12, 2023. With the support of local authorities, the close direction of Vietnam Electricity Group and the National Power Transmission Corporation, along with the efforts and reasonable construction organization measures of the construction unit, PC1 Group, the package was completed ahead of schedule in casting the foundation compared to the plan.
Representatives of the Frontline 1 of the Northern Power Project Management Board and the contractor's leaders are regularly on site to urge and supervise the construction of the Thanh Hoa 500 kV transmission line - Nam Dinh 1 Thermal Power Plant.
Part of the 500kV line 3 project, Thanh Hoa - Quynh Luu section, package 10 is one of the most difficult packages. All construction sites are located on mountain ranges in Truong Lam commune (Nghi Son town) and Quynh Vinh commune (Hoang Mai town).
The contractor - Alphanam E&C Joint Stock Company had to open a new 5 km temporary road through the forest to reach the foundation position of column No. 36 in Truong Lam commune (Nghi Son town). Along with that, due to the complex geology of the foundation position and hard rock, the contractor had to mobilize many special machines and equipment to carry out the construction.
The 500 kV line circuit 3, Thanh Hoa - Quynh Luu section passes through 5 communes of Nghi Son town: Truong Lam, Tan Truong, Phu Lam, Phu Son and Cac Son with 43 column foundation locations. The total affected area is 58.67 ha involving 138 households and 6 organizations.
Due to the large construction volume and complex terrain, Nghi Son town authorities have promoted and mobilized people to lend the contractor forestry land to open many roads to bring machinery and equipment to the construction site.
As of April 16, on the entire line 2 of the 500 kV line 3 project passing through Thanh Hoa province, contractors have completed casting foundations at 248/380 locations, erected 48 steel columns and are in the process of erecting 49 steel columns.
More modern machines are continuing to be mobilized to Thanh Hoa (in the photo: Robot pile driving to construct column foundations in Dai Loc commune (Hau Loc).
Local authorities are continuing to mobilize people to agree and hand over the site of the corridor early. Up to now, Thanh Hoa province has handed over 100% of the site of the column foundation construction site and 87/137 anchorage spaces of the corridor to the construction unit.
Mr. Vo Cong Tai, Deputy Head of the Frontline 1, Northern Power Project Management Board, said: "The entire construction site is accelerating the foundation casting process, organizing construction in 3 shifts and 4 teams. At the locations where the foundation has been completed, the poles are being erected simultaneously. At this time, we are constantly monitoring the construction site, urging contractors to focus on human and material resources, and speeding up the construction progress to meet the planned milestones."
