Vietnam women's volleyball team easily defeated Nepal

Nepal is the weakest team in the group. Therefore, the task of the Vietnamese women's team in the opening match is not only to win but also to quickly resolve the match, saving energy for the important confrontation with Korea tomorrow morning (October 1).

Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet's players showed superiority over their opponents. The strongest lineup of the Vietnamese team won quickly 25-4 in the first game. After that, the main players were given a rest in the second game.

Tran Thi Thanh Thuy and Hoang Thi Kieu Trinh played very little in this match. However, the remaining players of the Vietnamese team still did their job well.

Vietnam women's volleyball team won the opening match.

Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet rotated Vi Thi Nhu Quynh, Doan Thi Xuan, Tran Thi Bich Thuy and Pham Thi Nguyet Anh. The Vietnamese team scored consistently and won by a large margin in the remaining two games.

Limited technical skills prevented the Nepalese team from creating any surprises. They only scored points from careless situations of the Vietnamese athletes, but that did not happen often. The Vietnamese team won 25-16 and 25-13, ending the match early.

The 3-set victory (25-4, 25-16, 25-13) over Nepal has helped the Vietnamese women's team confidently advance to the next round. Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team will face Korea tomorrow. This is an important match, affecting the advantage/disadvantage of the Vietnamese team in the next round.

At the Asian Volleyball Championship held in late August and early September, the Vietnamese team defeated South Korea 3-2. That match paved the way for Thanh Thuy and her teammates to a successful journey - finishing fourth overall - in the tournament.
