On the morning of November 5, in Tuy Hoa city (Phu Yen province), the Vietnam Journalists Association in coordination with the Phu Yen Provincial Journalists Association organized the Conference “High-quality journalism in the context of digital transformation to meet the new requirements of the National Press Awards Charter and promote the task of sustainable development in the Central - Central Highlands region”. Attending the conference were representatives of central agencies, the Vietnam Journalists Association, the Journalists Association and press agencies in the Central - Central Highlands region.

The conference was also held to summarize, evaluate the implementation results and share experiences in applying digital transformation to improve the quality of press works in the process of implementing the High-Quality Press Support Program according to Decision No. 558/QD-TTg dated April 8, 2021 of the Prime Minister and Decision No. 348/QD-TTg dated April 6, 2023 of the Prime Minister on approving the Press Digital Transformation Strategy to 2025, with a vision to 2030.
This also meets the new requirements of the National Press Awards Charter issued together with Decision No. 50/QD-HDGBCQG dated June 21, 2024 of the National Press Awards Council on promulgating the National Press Awards Charter (amended and supplemented); ensuring high-quality press works associated with the goal of promoting the sustainable development tasks of the region.
Speaking at the conference, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association Nguyen Duc Loi said that in addition to the National Press Awards, the Vietnam Journalists Association continues to receive the attention, trust and assignment from the Prime Minister to implement the Program to support high-quality journalism at the central and local levels for the period 2021-2025.

As the focal agency implementing the High-Quality Journalism Support Program, after nearly 4 years of implementation, the High-Quality Journalism Support Program at all levels of the Journalists Association for the period 2021 - 2025 has had many successes in supporting journalists and the development of Vietnamese journalism.
During the implementation of the Program, many high-quality works that received financial support won the National Press Awards and local press awards, and press awards from ministries, branches, and organizations. In fact, the works that won high prizes (A, B, C) of the National Press Awards in recent years are all high-quality press works that have been supported.
At the conference, delegates presented their opinions and assessments of the results achieved as well as the difficulties and shortcomings in the implementation of the High-Quality Journalism Support Program. At the same time, they proposed practical solutions to implement the High-Quality Journalism Support Program more effectively in the future.

The conference also listened to the sharing of experiences and suggestions from press agencies on digital transformation, on applying achievements of digital technology in creating high-quality press works, meeting the needs of modern journalism, and improving propaganda capacity. Thereby, contributing to the implementation of socio-economic development goals in the locality.
In the afternoon of the same day, the conference focused on the topic: "Disseminating legal regulations and policies on the Association and improving the quality of consultation in the work of the Office of the Journalists Association in the Central - Central Highlands region".
