Motorcycle sales slightly down in August but still growing positively

In August 2024, HVN sold 178,514 motorbikes, down 6.7% from the previous month. However, this figure still increased by 13.4% compared to the same period last year.

In total, from April 2024 to March 2025, HVN's motorcycle sales reached 845,474 units, up 6.4% over the previous fiscal year. This shows that despite a temporary decline, Honda's motorcycle market continues to maintain positive growth momentum.

In contrast to the motorbike segment, HVN's automobile segment faced great difficulties in August 2024. The number of cars sold reached only 1,160 units, down 51.8% compared to the previous month and down 18.9% compared to the same period last year.

However, when looking at the 2025 fiscal year, HVN's auto sales only decreased by 2.7%, with a total of 7,928 vehicles sold. However, the decline in August has created significant concerns for the company.

Sales promotion strategy

To cope with the decline in car sales, HVN has deployed many strategies to stimulate market demand. The company has offered incentives and strong discounts on most car models, especially strategic products such as CR-V and City.

At the same time, HVN also receives 50% support for registration fees from the Government, which helps reduce costs and attract customers. In addition, the company is also focusing on the large-displacement motorcycle segment, with many new models recently introduced to maintain consumer interest and demand.
