The Vietnamese disabled sports delegation had an explosive performance when they won a "rain of gold" on June 7 at the 12th ASEAN Para Games.

On the 4th official competition day, the Vietnamese delegation won 23 more gold medals, 15 silver medals and 19 bronze medals.
The swimming team "exploded" when they won 11 gold medals, in which Trinh Thi Bich Nhu scored a "hat-trick" and Vi Thi Hang scored a "double gold".
The athletics team also competed brilliantly to bring home 10 more gold medals for the Vietnamese delegation on June 7.
The remaining two gold medals in yesterday's competition belonged to the athletes of the Vietnamese disabled chess team.
With this achievement, the Vietnamese disabled sports delegation has officially reached the milestone of 60 gold medals, exceeding the set target (winning 50-55 gold medals).
Specifically, the Vietnamese delegation won a total of 60 gold medals, 52 silver medals and 75 bronze medals, ranking 3rd on the medal tally of the 12th Para Games.
The top two positions in the ASEAN Para Games 12 medal tally still belong to Indonesia and Thailand.
Indonesia is racing to the top spot with 128 gold medals, while Thailand has 96.
The Malaysian Paralympic Team is right behind Vietnam but it will be difficult to compete for third place when the gap between the two teams is 18 gold medals.
The Philippine Paralympic delegation ranked 5th with 27 gold medals, followed by Myanmar with 13 gold medals.
The next positions are Singapore, host Cambodia, Brunei, Timor Leste and finally Laos.
