Kinhtedothi-On December 3, deputies of the Hanoi National Assembly Delegation (Election Unit No. 6) met with voters of Thanh Tri, Thanh Oai districts and Ha Dong district after the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly, in person at Thanh Tri district and online at Ha Dong district and Thanh Oai district.
National Assembly deputies of Constituency No. 6 include: Party Central Committee member, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son; Chairman of the Board of Members of the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam Pham Duc An; Vice Chairman of the National Assembly's Judicial Committee Do Duc Hong Ha.
Reporting to voters on the results of the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly, Chairman of the Board of Members of the Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development Pham Duc An said: The 8th Session took place in 29.5 days (from October 21 to November 30, 2024) and reviewed 51 contents and groups of contents, including: 33 contents related to legislative work, 18 groups of contents on socio-economics, state budget, supervision and other important issues; At the same time, 12 groups of contents were reported by agencies for National Assembly deputies to study.
The National Assembly has passed 18 laws and 21 resolutions, including 04 legal resolutions, in the spirit of strong innovation in thinking in legislative work towards ensuring the requirements of state management while encouraging creativity, liberating all productive forces, and unleashing all resources for development. The provisions of the law must be stable and have long-term value. Promote decentralization and delegation of power.
Thoroughly cut and simplify administrative procedures, investment and production conditions, reduce compliance costs, and create the most favorable conditions for people and businesses. Resolutely fight against negativity and group interests. For new issues that are in the process of being mobilized, and that are frequently changing and unstable in practice, only a framework of principles will be prescribed and assigned to the Government, ministries, branches, and local authorities to ensure flexibility in management and suitability to reality.
At the session, the National Assembly also considered and decided on many important issues of the country, such as: Investment policy for the high-speed railway project on the North-South axis; establishment of Hue City under the Central Government; investment policy for the national target program on cultural development for the period 2025-2035; national target program on drug prevention and control until 2030; policy to restart investment in the Ninh Thuan Nuclear Power Project...
The National Assembly also supervised 1 expert; considered and decided on socio-economic and state budget issues; reviewed reports on voters' petitions; judicial work; crime prevention and control; corruption prevention and control; resolved voters' petitions and a number of other important personnel matters.
At the meeting with voters, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly's Judicial Committee Do Duc Hong Ha presented a summary of responses to voters' petitions sent to the Hanoi National Assembly Delegation under the jurisdiction of the National Assembly, the Government, central ministries, branches and the City People's Committee.
Speaking at the meeting with voters, voters of Thanh Tri, Thanh Oai districts and Ha Dong district assessed that, through monitoring the session, they saw that National Assembly deputies had upheld their sense of responsibility, analyzed and thoroughly discussed major and important issues, especially newly proposed policies; at the same time, contributed many profound opinions for research agencies to absorb, ensuring full and timely institutionalization of the Central Committee's resolutions.
In particular, voters acknowledged and appreciated the determination, efforts, close, timely and effective coordination between agencies, so at the Session, many draft laws were passed that had a profound and direct impact on people's rights such as: Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Health Insurance; Law on Trade Unions (amended); Law on Prevention and Combat of Human Trafficking; Law on Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue; Law on Special Consumption Tax (amended); Law on Value Added Tax; Law on Corporate Income Tax (amended)...
Making recommendations to the National Assembly, voters of Yen Nghia and Dong Mai wards (Ha Dong district) mentioned the difficulties of the people when some planning and projects on traffic, construction, conversion, and service land allocation in the area have not been thoroughly guided and resolved. Voters hope to soon have specific guidance and mechanisms to resolve the issue.
On behalf of the National Assembly deputies, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son informed voters about the operation plan of the National Assembly Delegation in Ha Dong district, Thanh Oai district, Thanh Tri district in 2025; shared with voters some information about the major adjustments in organization and apparatus that are being and will be implemented towards a streamlined, effective and efficient apparatus. With their authority and responsibility, the delegates of Constituency No. 6 will continue to record and forward voters' opinions at this meeting to Hanoi City to respond to the process, methods and progress of handling issues of concern to voters.
