Today, July 19, the Central Organizing Committee delegation led by Party Central Committee member and Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee Nguyen Quang Duong held activities to pay tribute to heroic martyrs in Quang Tri province on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, July 27 (1947 - 2024). Politburo member and Head of the Central Organizing Committee Le Minh Hung sent wreaths to pay tribute to heroic martyrs. Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Dang Quang; Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee Phan Van Phung also participated.

The delegation offered incense and flowers at the Memorial of the Special National Monument of Quang Tri Ancient Citadel, the flower-laying dock on the North and South banks of Thach Han River to pay tribute to the heroic martyrs who fought and heroically sacrificed in the 81-day and night war to protect Quang Tri Ancient Citadel in the fiery summer of 1972, creating momentum for the general offensive to liberate the nation and unify the country in 1975.

With infinite sorrow, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee Nguyen Quang Duong and the delegation observed a moment of silence and conducted a flower-releasing ceremony on the Thach Han River - where many outstanding sons of the country had heroically sacrificed to protect every inch of the Fatherland. Their blood and bones were mixed into the soil and the Thach Han River. Their names and achievements as well as the place name Quang Tri were recorded in the nation's history as a brilliant milestone in the fight to protect the country's independence and freedom.

The delegation of the Central Organizing Committee also came to lay wreaths and offer incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs at the National Martyrs' Cemeteries of Road 9 and Truong Son.

In a solemn and emotional atmosphere, the delegates observed a minute of silence and respectfully offered flowers and incense to commemorate the great contributions of the heroic martyrs, the sons and daughters from all over the country who devoted their entire youth and blood for the independence, freedom of the country and the happiness of the people, who are now resting here.
