Specifically, 8 students who directly beat their friend were disciplined by being suspended from school for 1 school year (2024-2025); the female student who used her phone to film the fight was suspended from school for 2 weeks.
Students who watch without reporting or helping their friends to stop the incident will be criticized in front of the whole school and have their conduct grade reduced by one level.
At the same time, the District Department of Education and Training will coordinate with the Department of Internal Affairs to conduct a disciplinary council to handle the principal and teachers of Trung Hieu Secondary School - where the gang beating incident that caused a stir in public opinion took place.

Mr. Tran Cong Thanh, Head of the Department of Education and Training of Vung Liem district, said that after the above incident, the unit determined that Mr. Vo Huu Tran, as the head of Trung Hieu Secondary School, had directed and loosely managed student ethics in the last two school years, leading to many incidents of students fighting and causing injuries and insulting teachers.
The vice principal and teachers of Trung Hieu Secondary School repeatedly proposed to handle the student's violations, but Mr. Tran had no solution and did not handle the situation thoroughly.
Regarding the incident of a group of students beating a friend and filming a clip, Mr. Tran did not promptly handle it, report it to higher-level leaders, and did not promptly notify the families of the beaten students to take measures to support the students. In addition, this is also the responsibility of some teachers at the school.
For Mr. Huynh Hoang Hai, the homeroom teacher was identified as "not managing the class closely, students fought many times in class, he did not detect it, did not have a solution to manage students and prevent students from fighting".
Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Thanh, the head teacher, was determined to have "not fulfilled her responsibilities in managing student discipline".

When Ms. Thanh received the clip of the student being beaten by a group of friends, she only sent it to the principal, without discussing with N.'s family the situation of the beating, so that the family could take the student to first aid in time.
Organize a "gang attack" that puts you in the hospital
According to a source from the Department of Education and Training of Vung Liem district, the reason NHN (grade 8, Trung Hieu Secondary School) was beaten by a group of people was that on September 21, TTL pretended to fall and hit N. in the back with his elbow, causing him pain.
N. went home and told her grandmother that L. had hurt her. Then, N.'s grandmother went to L.'s family to report it. Angry because N. "told on", the next day, L. invited more friends to find and beat N.
At 11:25 a.m. on September 23, L. did not directly participate, but called on a group of 8th grade students from the same school to beat N. right in the classroom. This group beat N. with hands, feet, brooms, helmets, chairs, sticks... The male student did not dare to resist.
Many students who witnessed the incident did not report it to the school but stood there cheering; TTNH used his phone to film the entire incident.
After receiving the information, Vung Liem District Police directed the professional teams and Trung Hieu Commune Police to coordinate with the school to invite parents and students involved to work.

After being assaulted, N. had a headache and was taken to Xuyen A Hospital in Vinh Long for examination and medication.
On September 27, the family took N. to Cho Ray Hospital (HCMC) for further treatment. The doctor diagnosed N. with soft tissue injuries on the head, swelling in both arms, a broken left hand, and back pain.
