According to information from Phu Tho Maternity and Pediatrics Hospital, Ms. HTN (residing in Thanh Son district, Phu Tho province) was admitted to the hospital with premature placental abruption and was immediately scheduled for a cesarean section, giving birth to a baby boy weighing 700 grams and a baby girl weighing 600 grams.
The premature baby boy was treated and cared for attentively by doctors at Phu Tho Maternity and Pediatrics Hospital.
After birth, all the babies suffered from severe respiratory failure and turned cyanotic. A neonatal resuscitation team was immediately mobilized to provide emergency care in the delivery room.
After the safety indicators were found, both babies were transferred to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (Neonatal Department) for treatment. Unfortunately, the baby girl (600 grams) after 1 month of treatment, had serious complications due to many concomitant diseases of premature babies. Emergency doctors tried to treat her but could not sustain her life.
Receiving the baby boy in her arms, Ms. N. was moved and teary-eyed as she shared: "I missed my baby so much. After so many months of waiting, I can now hold him in my arms. I can only express my deepest gratitude to the doctors at the department who have taken care of the baby day and night. The family is so moved that they don't know how to express their gratitude to the doctors at the Neonatal Department."
The baby boy is in stable health in the loving arms of his family.
BSCKI. Nguyen Duc Hau, Head of the Department of Neonatology, Phu Tho Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital, recommends: Pregnant women need to have a reasonable diet and rest, and perform pregnancy management at a reputable medical facility with full technical equipment for diagnosis instead of just regular ultrasound to be able to detect and promptly handle abnormalities during pregnancy.
Especially in cases of multiple pregnancies, during pregnancy it is necessary to strictly follow the advice and instructions of the obstetrician to have a healthy and safe pregnancy.
