TPO - Last week, three southern provinces and cities, Ho Chi Minh City, Long An and Binh Duong, implemented many decisions to transfer and appoint key officials.

Ho Chi Minh City has a new Director of the Department of Home Affairs

On the morning of April 19, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee held a ceremony to hand over the decision on cadres. At the ceremony, Deputy Head of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee's Organization Committee Dinh Thanh Nhan announced the decision of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee on transferring and assigning Party Committee member Vo Ngoc Quoc Thuan, Secretary of District 8 Party Committee, to work at the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to be accepted and appointed to the position of Director of the Department of Home Affairs.

At the same time, Mr. Thuan was appointed to hold the position of Member of the Party Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term; assigned to hold the position of Deputy Head of the Organization Committee of the City Party Committee (concurrently) from the time of his appointment as Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Home Affairs.

Then, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Home Affairs Nguyen Duy Tan announced the decision to accept and appoint Mr. Vo Ngoc Quoc Thuan, member of the City Party Committee, Secretary of District 8 Party Committee to hold the position of Director of the Department of Home Affairs. The term of office is 5 years.


Chief Inspector of Ho Chi Minh City becomes head of anti-corruption assessment team

The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has just issued a decision on establishing a working group to evaluate the implementation of anti-corruption tasks in 2023 in the area.

The working group is headed by Mr. Dang Minh Dat, Chief Inspector of Ho Chi Minh City. Mr. Tran Quoc Trung, Deputy Head of the Internal Affairs Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, is deputy head.

The working group also has 11 members who are leaders and officials of many other departments, agencies and units of the city such as the City Party Committee's Inspection Committee, Department of Justice, Department of Home Affairs, City People's Court, City People's Procuracy, City Civil Judgment Enforcement Department, etc.

The working group is responsible for monitoring, urging, and synthesizing the assessment and reporting of departments, branches, Thu Duc City People's Committee and districts. Advise on the assessment and development of a report on the assessment of anti-corruption work in 2023 in Ho Chi Minh City to submit to the City People's Committee to report to the Government Inspectorate according to regulations.


Ho Chi Minh City announces decision to merge and transfer grassroots party organizations

On April 15, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee held a ceremony to announce the decision to merge and transfer the grassroots Party Committees directly under the City Party Committee according to the plan of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee.

At the ceremony, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Ho Hai presented the decision of the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee on merging the Ho Chi Minh City Banking Party Committee, including 20 grassroots party organizations and 2,188 party members, into the Party Committee of the Central Agencies in Ho Chi Minh City.

Mr. Nguyen Ho Hai also presented the decision of the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee on transferring the Party Committee of Saigon Pharmaceutical Company Limited, including 15 grassroots party organizations and 393 party members from the grassroots Party Committee directly under the City Party Committee to the grassroots Party Committee directly under the Ho Chi Minh City Business Bloc Party Committee.


Ho Chi Minh City mobilizes key officials

On April 13, District 7 Party Committee and People's Committee held a ceremony to hand over the decision on cadres of the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee and the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.

At the ceremony, the representative of the Organizing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee announced the decision of the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee to receive and transfer Mr. Tran Quoc Xuan - Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of District 7 to work at the District Party Committee of District 7 to assign him to hold the position of Head of the Organizing Committee of the District Party Committee.

Next, the representative of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Home Affairs announced the decision of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee on receiving, transferring and appointing Mr. Chau Xuan Dai Thang - Head of the Organization Board of District 7 Party Committee to hold the position of Vice Chairman of District 7 People's Committee. The two officials were assigned to hold the position for 5 years.


Appointment of Deputy Chief Prosecutor of Long An Provincial People's Procuracy

On the afternoon of April 15, the Supreme People's Procuracy held a ceremony to announce and present the decision to appoint the position of Deputy Chief Prosecutor of the Provincial People's Procuracy.

Accordingly, at the ceremony, the Supreme People's Procuracy announced the decision of the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Procuracy to appoint Mr. Nguyen Thanh Bong to the position of Deputy Chief Justice of the Long An Provincial People's Procuracy, with a term of appointment of 5 years from April 16, 2024.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Bong was born in 1981. Before being appointed as Deputy Chief of the Provincial People's Procuracy, Mr. Bong held positions such as Deputy Head of Department 1 (Long An Provincial People's Procuracy), Deputy Chief and then Chief of the Duc Hoa District People's Procuracy.

On April 18, information from the Party and Political Affairs Department of Binh Duong Provincial Police said that the unit had organized the announcement and presentation of the decision of the Provincial Police Director on personnel work.

Senior Lieutenant Ho Thanh Thao received the appointment decision.

Accordingly, the Board of Directors of the Party and Political Affairs Department has issued a decision appointing Senior Lieutenant Ho Thanh Thao to the position of Head of the Youth Department of Binh Duong Provincial Police.

Previously, according to industry regulations, Binh Duong Provincial Police converted from Youth Union Branch to Youth Committee, Senior Lieutenant Thao was assigned to be deputy head of the committee and is now appointed to hold the position of head of the committee.


Implementing the decision of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee on personnel work

Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee has just decided to establish a working group to advise on evaluating anti-corruption work at the provincial level in 2023.

According to the decision, the Anti-Corruption Working Group, led by Deputy Chief Inspector of Dong Nai Province Pham Ngoc Ha as the head of the group; a Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs as the deputy head of the group, and other members, is responsible for advising the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to carry out a number of contents, including: assessing the anti-corruption work of the Provincial People's Committee according to the guidance of the Government Inspectorate; developing a plan to evaluate and appraise the draft report on the results of the assessment of anti-corruption work at the provincial level in 2023 and being responsible to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the performance of assigned tasks; correcting and criticizing units and localities that do not comply with regulations on anti-corruption work.

In addition, the Head and Deputy Head of the Working Group are responsible for all activities of the Working Group, promptly reporting, proposing, advising the Provincial People's Committee to consider, direct, and resolve tasks beyond assigned authority.
