Dak Lak Province Chairman retires early

The Secretariat decided to allow Mr. Pham Ngoc Nghi, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee to cease participating in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, cease holding the position of Deputy Secretary of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term and related positions, and retire early from April 15, 2025. Regimes and policies are implemented according to current regulations.

Mr. Pham Ngoc Nghi, born in 1965, from Binh Son district (Quang Ngai province); Bachelor of Economics; Senior in Political Theory. Mr. Nghi has held the positions of Secretary of Dak Lak Provincial Youth Union; Secretary of Krong Ana District Party Committee; Director of Dak Lak Provincial Department of Planning and Investment.

On February 10, 2015, Mr. Pham Ngoc Nghi was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee, term VIII, 2011 - 2016. In July 2016, the Dak Lak Provincial People's Council for the term 2016-2021 continued to elect Mr. Nghi to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. In June 2021, Mr. Pham Ngoc Nghi, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, was re-elected as Chairman of the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee for the term 2021-2026.

At the end of October 2024, the Central Inspection Commission met, reviewed and proposed disciplinary action against the Party Executive Committee (CPC) of the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee. The Central Inspection Commission found that: The CPC of the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee for the 2016-2021 and 2021-2026 terms violated the principle of democratic centralism, working regulations, lacked responsibility, and loosened leadership and direction, allowing the Provincial People's Committee and many organizations and individuals to violate Party regulations and State laws.

In March 2025, Mr. Pham Ngoc Nghi, Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee, submitted an application for early retirement and twice notified the Vice Chairman of the province of his authority to take charge.

In early April 2025, at the 55th session, the Central Inspection Committee issued a disciplinary warning to Mr. Pham Ngoc Nghi./.
