Speed up construction progress
These days, at the construction site of the Nam Sach 2 110 kV transmission line and transformer station project in An Phat 1 industrial park, the working atmosphere is very urgent. The contractor, Consulting and Construction Company No. 10 (Bac Ninh), has increased human resources, equipment, materials, and arranged work in "3 shifts, 4 shifts" to speed up the project's progress. This project is racing with other infrastructure projects taking shape in An Phat 1 industrial park.
Up to now, the station area has been basically completed, the construction unit is installing the outside poles and the outbound lines behind the station to supply electricity to customers. The Nam Sach 2 110 kV transformer station has a total investment of 118.2 billion VND. The project scale includes 4 transformers with a total capacity of 252 MVA and a 110 kV line with a length of 4.5 km double circuit, auxiliary works ensuring the criteria of an unmanned transformer station. The outbound line system includes 4 22 kV lines and 1 35 kV line with a total length of more than 5.6 km.
“Currently, our unit is mobilizing forces to participate in the construction to ensure the energization time of the 110 kV Nam Sach 2 transformer station in early March. We are determined to complete the progress well and ensure the technical requirements set by the investor…”, said Mr. Vu Van Thuy, project manager (Consulting and Construction Company No. 10).
When completed, this transformer station will supply electricity to businesses in An Phat 1 industrial park, Nam Sach district loads and neighboring areas, helping to prevent overloading of 110 kV transformer stations in Nam Sach, Tien Trung, Chi Linh, etc.
Another project invested in by Hai Duong Electricity One Member Co., Ltd. is the medium voltage power line supplying electricity to Gia Loc Industrial Park (phase 1). The overhead line is 4.5 km long, with a total investment of more than 9 billion VND.
After nearly 3 months of construction, the project has been completed, put into operation ahead of schedule and is ready to supply electricity to customers in the industrial park. “In accordance with the investment agreement, Hai Duong Power Company built a power line to provide stable and safe electricity to the infrastructure of Gia Loc Industrial Park Phase 1 and secondary investors, as well as neighboring loads,” said Mr. Vu Duc Minh, Project Management Board (Hai Duong Power Company).
Improve power supply capacity
“To develop industry in the district, synchronizing infrastructure, including the power grid system to serve investment in industrial parks and clusters, is very important. According to the provincial planning, Gia Loc district has 3 industrial parks. The locality has urged investors to complete the infrastructure of industrial parks, in which a stable power source is one of the important factors to attract secondary investors," said Mr. Nguyen Van Chuyen, Head of the Economic - Infrastructure Department (Gia Loc).
Also in the provincial planning, Gia Loc district has 4 transformer stations that will supply electricity to industrial parks and neighboring loads. The locality has handed over the site to the construction units of 220 kV transformer stations and 110 kV transformer stations. When these projects are completed and put into use, they will provide stable electricity to industrial parks and clusters in the district.
In the Hai Duong Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, a plan for developing a power supply network to ensure socio-economic development in the province has been outlined.
According to the plan, regarding the 500 kV high-voltage grid, Hai Duong will have a 500 kV Gia Loc transformer station with a capacity of 900 MW; a 500 kV (4-circuit) Gia Loc - Thai Binh - Pho Noi transmission line with a total length of 13 km to connect to the 500 kV Gia Loc transformer station; a 500 kV (2-circuit) Hai Phong - Thai Binh transmission line with a total length of 35 km (the section through Hai Duong is about 11 km long).
Regarding the 220 kV high-voltage grid, the capacity of the 220 kV Pha Lai thermal power plant will be upgraded to 3 transformers, with a total capacity of 750 MW; the capacity of the 220 kV Hai Duong thermal power plant will be upgraded to 2 transformers, with a total capacity of 500 MW; 5 220 kV transformer stations with a total capacity of 1,750 MW will be built and 12 220 kV lines (2 circuits and 4 circuits) with a total length of 155 km will be built to connect 220 kV transformer stations in the province.
Regarding the 110 kV high-voltage grid, renovate and upgrade existing 110 kV lines and transformer stations; build 110 kV lines and transformer stations to ensure power supply for load development needs in the province and neighboring areas.
For the medium voltage grid, renovate and build medium voltage main branches and branches to ensure power supply to residential areas; invest in building 110 kV transformer station exits. Strengthen the connection of medium voltage main loops to effectively exploit 110 kV transformer stations; invest in power source connection lines. Develop power grids for industrial parks, industrial clusters, residential areas, urban areas, etc.
According to the growth target assigned by the Government, Hai Duong's GRDP must reach 10.2% in 2025. The province has set a higher target by developing a detailed economic growth scenario for each month and quarter for the first time, aiming to achieve a GRDP growth rate of 12%. To achieve this target, it is forecasted that electricity consumption in 2025 will reach over 7.8 billion kWh, an increase of about 10% compared to 2024. With the ongoing power line and transformer station projects, plus the benefits from the 500kV Nam Dinh I - Pho Noi power plant transmission line project, the demand for electricity in the socio-economic development of the province will be met.
