Supervisory Team No. 1, Provincial People's Council inspects domestic water works in Muong Nhe district

Dien Bien TV - Implementing the thematic monitoring program "Implementation of policies and laws on investment, management, and domestic water supply in Dien Bien province, period 2021 - 2024", on the afternoon of April 14, Monitoring Team No. 1 of the Provincial People's Council led by Comrade Giang Thi Hoa, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, inspected a number of domestic water works in Muong Nhe district.

Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council Giang Thi Hoa inspected the centralized water tank of Hua Sin 2 village, Chung Chai commune, Muong Nhe district.

The monitoring team inspected the Hua Sin 2 village water supply project, Chung Chai commune; the project has 2 main dams, 1 filter tank and 7 centralized water tanks; the water pipeline is over 4.5km long. The project was completed and put into use in 2024, serving 99 households with 608 people. The Tan Phong village water supply project, Muong Nhe commune, was invested in under Project 79, providing water for nearly 100 households in 2 villages: Tan Phong and Nam La.

During the field inspection, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council Giang Thi Hoa noted: The projects have been effective after investment, providing domestic water for people, especially the villages arranged according to Project 79. However, at some locations, the route has an unreasonable design, leading to low efficiency in using the projects. It is recommended that communes actively propagate and mobilize people to use water economically, avoid waste; regularly check, detect and promptly repair damage so that the projects can be effective, stable and sustainable.

Comrade Giang Thi Hoa, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council, presented gifts to families with disabled people and people in difficult circumstances in Chung Chai commune.

On the same afternoon, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council Giang Thi Hoa, on behalf of the Provincial Association for the Support of People with Disabilities and Protection of Children's Rights, presented 30 gifts, each worth 1 million VND in cash and gifts to 30 people with disabilities and children in difficult circumstances in Chung Chai and Muong Nhe communes on the occasion of Vietnam Day for People with Disabilities on April 18./.
