Tran Hoang Bao Han

Bao Han is an English major student with artistic talent. After researching online, Han determined to get a scholarship to study marketing at the University of Massachusetts.

When determining the criteria for American universities, not only do they consider scholarships based on achievements and IELTS certificates (standardized tests used for admission to American universities), but also extracurricular activities and essays. Han carefully planned to implement them.

In class, Han focused on listening to lectures, regularly reviewed at home, and actively participated in extracurricular activities. In her free time, the Phu Yen female student went online to learn and consolidate her knowledge, and review for the IELTS certificate exam. At the end of grade 11, Han easily achieved IELTS 6.5 and completed her essay.

The good news came to Bao Han in early December 2023, when the University of Massachusetts replied via email congratulating Han on receiving the scholarship. At that time, the female student immediately informed her parents, and the whole family was overwhelmed with happiness. Han said that after graduating from high school, she will go to the US to study abroad this fall.

Han shared: "America is my dream, a place that can give me the best learning, training and experience environment. But for me, going far away is to explore, to experience, to mature and to appreciate the journey back more. After 4 years of university, instead of staying in America, I want to bring my knowledge and experience back to my homeland to contribute to building the country."
