The defeat in the qualifying round last year helped the Central region representative understand that in the TNSV THACO Cup, no match is easy. The defending champion Hue University stopped in the qualifying round last year. And this year, the defending champion Ho Chi Minh City University of Physical Education and Sports and the runner-up Thuy Loi University also failed to get tickets to the final round.

The coaching staff of Hue University still wants their students to dream, as people often say about Hue. Respecting the opponent Ton Duc Thang University, wanting Hue University to play like Chelsea

The match between Hue University and Ton Duc Thang University in the second round of Group A took place at 5:45 p.m. on March 4. With just one more point, Hue University secured a ticket to the quarterfinals one round early. In the semi-finals of the first season, Hue University defeated the host Ton Duc Thang University with a score of 1-0 to enter the final, then defeated Thuy Loi University to win the championship.

Ton Duc Thang University had an unimpressive start when they drew 0-0 with Tra Vinh University. The home team had changed their squad with many new players, but due to their lack of experience, they could not find their rhythm.

However, Mr. Duong Van Dung respected his opponent when he said: "Hue University's coaching staff attended and determined that Ton Duc Thang University had not yet used all their strength in the opening match against Tra Vinh University. Maybe their strategy was to get at least 1 point, which was an advantage. They were the home team, with many fans cheering them on in the stands. They were the top candidate, so Hue University had to enter the match with a spirit of respect for their opponent."

Hue University's coaching staff also wants their students to repeat Chelsea's championship journey, because "this team often wins with a very "basic" score of 1-0.
