By 2030, the use of biological pesticides will account for 30%

That is the general goal set by the Department of Agriculture and Environment in Plan No. 19/KH-SNNMT-TTBVTV dated March 27, 2025 on developing the production and use of organic fertilizers and biological pesticides in Binh Phuoc province by 2030, with a vision to 2050.

Accordingly, the specific goals by 2030: The amount of industrial organic fertilizer used accounts for at least 30% of the total amount of fertilizer used in agricultural production; the amount of biological pesticides used is up to 30% of the total amount of pesticides used; the amount of organic fertilizer produced by household scale used in agricultural production reaches at least 1.1 million tons/year.

At least 80% of districts, towns and cities have built models of using organic fertilizers associated with value chains on key product groups and local specialties with advantages.   100% of districts, towns and cities have trained technical staff and organize training for 100% of fertilizer and pesticide trading and business establishments in the province .   100% of people know how to use fertilizers and pesticides in a balanced, economical, safe and effective way on crops.

Vision to 2050: The rate of using organic fertilizers and biological pesticides reaches over 50% of the total amount of fertilizers used in agricultural production; the area of ​​cultivation using organic fertilizers accounts for 50%; over 80% of districts, towns and cities build a model of using organic fertilizers associated with the value chain for key agricultural products and specialties with advantages and export potential of the locality; 100% of available raw materials from cultivation, livestock, aquaculture, household waste... are used as organic fertilizers in both household and industrial production scale.

To achieve the above objectives, the Department of Agriculture and Environment has set out 6 tasks and solutions. Specifically: Propagating to raise awareness among people, business owners, production enterprises and local management officials; improving the effectiveness and efficiency of state management of fertilizers and pesticides; developing and diversifying organic fertilizer and biological pesticides products; developing and replicating organic fertilizer and biological pesticides production technologies; implementing models of using organic fertilizers and biological pesticides and building a linkage chain; applying digital transformation, building a database on organic fertilizers and biological pesticides.
