Building the Party in terms of ethics is both an inevitable requirement and in line with the practical tasks of Party building in the new situation. Because ethics is considered the "foundation" and the "root" for building a clean and strong Party. Focusing on building the Party in terms of ethics is an extremely important issue that needs to be carried out regularly and continuously.

In recent times, press agencies from central to local levels have actively promoted the Party and State's policies on culture and ethics, contributing significantly to raising the awareness of cadres and party members. Press works also encourage cadres, party members and workers to properly implement the Party and State's policies on ethics. The press also fights to prevent acts that go against the goal of developing national culture and ethics, contributing to cultural development, maintaining political stability, security, order and social safety right from the grassroots.
The press is a weapon to fight against negative criticism and moral deviation.
Press and media agencies are sharp weapons in the fight against and criticism of negative phenomena, cultural and ethical deviations, erroneous and hostile viewpoints and ideologies, protecting the Party's ideological foundation, protecting the Party, the State and the legitimate and legal interests of the people.
Recently, a scientific workshop with the theme “Promoting the role of the press and media in building the Party on ethics” was jointly organized by the Academy of Journalism and Communication and the Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee. At the workshop, many enthusiastic opinions were given by delegates, including many solutions for press and communication agencies to effectively build culture and ethics in the Party.
Associate Professor, Dr. Mai Duc Ngoc, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Academy of Journalism and Communication, said that with the explosion of information technology, social networks and many other attractive forms of entertainment, if press channels are not used and exploited effectively, they can cause loss, waste and have little positive meaning for the dissemination of policies and guidelines on culture and ethics. The press needs to promote the authenticity, orientation and depth of information, detect and identify issues that need to be adjusted, increase attractive forms of transmission, and exploit good stories.
To overcome this problem, grassroots party organizations need to organize many practical, regular and periodic activities such as: Launching a movement to read, watch and listen to newspapers among cadres, party members and workers in grassroots party organizations. In addition to working time in production and business, time is needed to read, watch and listen to newspapers, discuss and exchange on cultural issues. Agencies and units at the grassroots level need to allocate facilities and funds to serve readers and readers of newspapers such as spaces to read, watch and listen to newspaper products, publications...

Dr. Doan Van Bau - Head of the Department of Political Theory, Central Propaganda Department said, "Press agencies must choose methods, content, and forms of propaganda to achieve the highest efficiency, contributing to preserving and affirming cultural identity and national ethics, urging people to return to their roots, arousing the motivation for community solidarity, consolidating stability for economic, cultural, and social development, affirming the independence and autonomy of the nation" .
Agreeing with the opinion of Dr. Doan Van Bau, at the workshop, delegates also said that press agencies need to regularly and continuously propagate the Party's policies and guidelines in forming and developing the personality and ethics of cadres and party members. It is necessary to deeply and widely propagate ethics and lifestyle; discover and propagate typical advanced examples of reporters, press, cadres and party members in the spirit of revolutionary soldiers to contribute to forming culture and ethics in the Party.
Press agencies must pioneer in practicing culture and ethics in the Party.
In Yen Bai province, to improve the quality of propaganda work on Party building, contributing to improving culture and ethics in the Party, Yen Bai Newspaper has opened many special pages and columns on building ethics and culture in the Party, spreading typical examples of progress in work, study and striving... of the whole society. In addition to regular printed newspapers and highland printed newspapers, Yen Bai e-newspaper has also taken advantage of social networks to spread information.
Articles about the Party aim to perfect revolutionary ethical standards so that cadres and party members can self-regulate their behavior and conduct in daily work, improve themselves, and build common values for cadres and party members in the new era. Ethical standards must closely follow and serve the political tasks they are undertaking, and be suitable for new working environments and conditions such as cyberspace and the digital environment.
Journalist Ha Ngoc Van - Editor-in-Chief of Yen Bai Newspaper, Chairman of the Provincial Journalists Association said, "To effectively implement this work, it is necessary to build a team of cadres, party members, and reporters of Party newspaper agencies with political mettle, qualities and ethics of revolutionary journalists, with professional capacity, solid professional qualifications, especially understanding of the field of Party building work. Building an agency that is truly a cultural agency, with a "professional, humane, modern" working environment. Always attach importance to Party building work in the agency, ensuring the principle of democratic centralism, maintaining solidarity".
Yen Bai Newspaper uses social networks to contribute to spreading press information.
Reality shows that the propaganda activities of press agencies from local to central levels have contributed positively to the process of implementing Party building work. Continuous propaganda has contributed to raising awareness and promoting the implementation of solutions and actions to build the Party in terms of ethics and culture.
However, in order for this work to continue to be effective, Associate Professor, Dr. Do Thi Thu Hang - Head of the Professional Department of the Vietnam Journalists Association, said that it is necessary to first strongly arouse the spirit of patriotism and professional ideals of each journalist - member. Arouse the self-resources of each journalist, each press collective, loyalty to the Party, to the Fatherland, to the people, national pride and self-esteem, the desire to contribute, the spirit of great national solidarity, community attachment and noble international solidarity of each journalist.
“When digital transformation is a common trend in the world, the press also needs to continue to promote digital transformation. Focus on implementing training and fostering solutions to improve professional capacity and educate journalistic personality models with 3 basic aspects: political qualities, ethical qualities and professional qualities; along with building and promulgating monitoring, inspection and sanctioning mechanisms for violations by journalists and press agencies; from a legal, ethical and cultural perspective” - Associate Professor, Dr. Do Thi Thu Hang shared.
It can be affirmed that throughout the development of the country, the press has always affirmed its particularly important role in the field of culture and in protecting the Party's ideological foundation and the regime. To fulfill that responsibility well, the propaganda press must practice good culture and ethics within the Party in its own agency.
