Nui Coc Lake has an area of 25km2 spread over the two cities of Thai Nguyen, Pho Yen and Dai Tu district (Thai Nguyen) with green mountains, blue water, legendary love stories, hundreds of large and small islands, fresh climate, but until now tourism has not developed commensurately, which is a big waste. A synchronous solution is needed to exploit the tourism potential of this famous scenic spot.

Although planned as a national key tourist area, the appearance of Nui Coc Lake tourism in recent years seems to have not changed at all. There are still a few old hotels located along the lake; entertainment and cuisine are poor and monotonous; boats and ships serving tourists are simple, not meeting the increasingly high and diverse needs of tourists. Therefore, most tourists only come to Nui Coc Lake once.
In recent years, the Nui Coc Lake area has had investment projects within and outside the budget, including very large projects, which society expects to fundamentally change the tourism environment of Nui Coc Lake because the investment scale is up to tens of thousands of billions of VND. However, these projects have not been successful, some projects have been abandoned, behind schedule, no longer suitable, had to be revoked, canceled, causing a lot of waste.
The reason is that investors do not have financial resources, do not have experience, and build tourism projects in Nui Coc Lake according to the trend... Local people do not seem ready to accept tourism activities, and there is also a phenomenon that when there is a tourism project, they plant trees and build works to "receive" compensation, making investors hesitant; the "seed capital" of the locality to invest in infrastructure to create motivation to attract investment in tourism development is still limited.
The good news is that Tan Thai Golf Course by Nui Coc Lake with an investment capital of over 1,000 billion VND, nearly 100 hectares wide, designed and built according to international standards is being urgently implemented. The investor representative said that currently, they are mobilizing maximum means and human resources with 150 vehicles, machines and 250 engineers, foreign experts and workers to build Tan Thai Golf Course.
Next to Tan Thai golf course is the high-class Tan Thai eco-community tourism village project to attract high-income domestic and international tourists to relax and experience, which is being prepared for implementation.
When put into use in the near future, from Tan Thai golf course, you can observe the beautiful landscape of Nui Coc lake, inspiring players and tourists. At that time, this golf course will create jobs for several hundred people, contributing to exploiting the tourism potential of Nui Coc lake, spreading the tourism mindset of local people, gradually promoting local socio-economic development.
However, Tan Thai golf course and Tan Thai community tourism village are just “lonely stars” in exploiting the great potential of Nui Coc Lake tourism, needing many rich, diverse, high-quality tourism products, accommodation facilities, and cuisine to satisfy, attract, appeal and “retain” tourists.
To do so, it is necessary to have a master plan, a zoning plan for Nui Coc Lake tourism, and invest in a large-scale road around the lake to outline a clear direction, a practical and legal basis to create an attractive investment environment, and promote investment attraction to develop Nui Coc Lake tourism.
Investors want local authorities to invest in infrastructure outside the tourism project fence such as connecting roads, electricity, water; administrative procedures and land conversion are resolved quickly to facilitate investment projects.
Thereby, the tourism potential of this scenic spot will be awakened, creating quality tourism products to attract visitors to visit, experience, have fun, relax, and promote socio-economic development.
