The first meeting of the Young Party Club began with songs about cheerful and enthusiastic youth. The change in the way of meeting has overcome the reluctance of young party members to express their views and opinions in previous branch meetings.
Ms. Phan Thi Hoai Suong - Secretary of the Tam Giang Commune Youth Union, Head of the Young Party Members' Club said that limitations such as the reluctance to give opinions and express opinions have more or less led to the fading of ideals and raised the question among many young party members: "What is the purpose of joining the Party?" And the establishment of the Club is the answer to this question.
“The fading of ideals and the dominating work have led to young party members not being interested in party meetings, studying resolutions and local party building work. Meanwhile, this group plays an important role in forming the next generation.
Therefore, the establishment of the club with 46 members, the core of which are union members and youth, is expected to create a strong change in ideology and awareness so that young party members can fully develop their abilities and contribute more to local development," said Ms. Suong.
Throughout the meeting, the fact that party members do not boldly contribute their opinions became a hot topic.
Party member Nguyen Thanh Duoc - Tam Giang Commune Military Party Cell said that due to the fear of being wrong, afraid of judgment and not daring to give advice to long-time party members, young party members often just sit and listen, lacking in decisiveness.
Party member Ho Van Nam - Dong An village Party cell said that in some tasks, young party members' suggestions have not been recognized by the local Party committee, so they are hesitant to speak up.
“Many young union members, when striving to join the Party, demonstrated high ideals, spirit, and enthusiasm. However, when party activities in the villages declined significantly.
Therefore, village party cells need to create more favorable conditions for young party members to participate in expressing their opinions, contributing to the good implementation of the principles of self-criticism and criticism, and the principle of democratic centralism in party activities" - party member Nguyen Thi Linh Huong - Party cell of Le Hong Phong Primary School (Tam Giang commune) suggested.
Regarding creating conditions for young party members to participate in party activities at the village Party Cell, Mr. Vo Quang Nhu - Secretary of the Dong An village Party Cell said that compared to the special affiliated party cells whose party members are all cadres, civil servants, and public employees, the Dong An village Party Cell has more party members and is more difficult to mobilize.
To create conditions for young party members, especially workers and business people, to participate in regular activities, the party cell must hold activities on Sunday evenings. The older party members always set an example, from their behavior to their serious participation in activities and speeches. Meanwhile, although they always create conditions and expect young party members to speak up, right and wrong are recorded, but for many years there has been no change….
Sending expectations
Mr. Huynh Hoang - former cadre of Tam Giang commune, Secretary of Dong Xuan village Party Cell shared that it will not be easy to change a habit immediately. However, the dynamic environment in the Club will be a catalyst for young party members to be exemplary in all activities, boldly participating in constructive speeches. Thereby, creating a step forward for the party members themselves, then the party cell and party committee.
Mr. Pham Van Nen - a former cadre of Tam Giang commune said that the revolution is a relay race of many generations. His generation and many generations before him joined hands to bring Tam Giang up from difficult days. The task of today's party members is to promote the youth to create a new breakthrough.
“Party members go first, the country follows. The youth are the vanguard. These two clauses further emphasize the role of young party members in blue uniforms who must demonstrate their aspiration to contribute to their homeland. Young party members should first practice contributing to building clubs, working in the Youth Union and youth movements, then gradually expand to areas of strength through specialized activities,” Mr. Nen advised.
The meeting, exchange and young people expressing their thoughts have narrowed the gap between generations, helping them understand and trust each other more. That was the first successful step in establishing the Young Party Club.
Ms. Pham Thi Vu Thao - Secretary of the Tam Giang Commune Party Committee said that the club model is not a way for the locality to "compete" with its superiors in terms of achievements, but rather a passion for building the next generation with qualifications, maturity and daring to take risks. The Commune Party Committee will always closely follow and accompany the club's activities so that they are always practical and maintained over the long term.
“Joining the Club on a voluntary basis has shown the great determination of young party members. The Club and Party cells continue to encourage young party members when they give suggestions and need to innovate the form of activities.
Since then, the thinking of many young party members has changed, when joining the Party, it is only for activities or self-criticism,... but it is an organization to train, mature, to dedicate and contribute to the collective and the people" - Ms. Thao said.
According to Ms. Phan Thi Hoai Suong, the club is expected to meet periodically every quarter according to each topic. In addition, it will organize trips to the source, red addresses or chat with former cadres, veteran revolutionaries or competitions to learn about resolutions, party members' singing, telling stories about Uncle Ho... This is also a way to train, promote qualities, abilities and help party members enthusiastically participate.
