Que Son youth contribute to eliminating temporary houses

Two years ago, Mr. Tran Van Nhut in Ninh Khanh village, Ninh Phuoc commune (Que Son) unfortunately had a traffic accident and lost his ability to work. His wife was often sick and had to take care of a small child. Due to difficult life, the family could not afford to build a new house and lived in a small house with their elderly mother.

Faced with this situation, Que Son District Youth Union has connected and mobilized Agribank, Que Son branch and Nong Son branch to support 60 million VND to build a charity house for Mr. Nhut's family. With the savings, the couple has built a fairly solid level 4 house on an area of ​​over ^50m2 , including a living room, bedroom, and kitchen.

“My family has been so happy to live in our new house for over a month now. I am very grateful to the Que Son District Youth Union and the sponsoring unit for helping me find a stable place to live,” said Mr. Nhut.

In 2025, Que Son District Youth Union supported 60 million VND from social mobilization funds for Mr. Phan Hong Tri's family (Thach Khe village, Que My commune) to build a house.

Ms. Le Thi Hoa Thuong - Secretary of Que My Commune Youth Union said that Mr. Tri's family is poor, has many children, the couple does not have stable jobs, and lives in a temporary house. When there was funding from the District Youth Union, the Commune Youth Union quickly transferred it to Mr. Tri's family to build a new house.

To date, the house is basically completed and is expected to be handed over and put into use at the end of April. During the construction of the house, the Commune Youth Union mobilized nearly 10 youth union members to participate in transporting materials and pouring soil to help Mr. Tri's family reduce construction costs. Thereby, demonstrating the concern, spirit of initiative and volunteerism of the youth for the disadvantaged.

Mr. Nguyen Tan Quoc - Deputy Secretary of Que Son District Youth Union said that in order to join hands to effectively implement the program of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses, the unit has launched a campaign to support funding among cadres and youth union members in the area for the period 2024 - 2025. At the same time, efforts are being made to connect and mobilize resources from philanthropists and businesses inside and outside the district.

From 2024 to present, Que Son District Youth Union has supported the construction of 13 new charity houses and the repair of 5 houses for disadvantaged households with a total cost of nearly 1 billion VND. Of which, the district level supported the construction of 8 new houses, and the grassroots level supported the construction and repair of 10 houses.

Anh Quoc shared: “The newly completed houses are practical gifts, with profound humanitarian meaning, demonstrating the spirit of mutual love of Que Son youth towards people in difficult circumstances. From there, it creates motivation and joy for them to rise up in life.”
