Famous artists welcome the new year with "Happiness Concert"

(NLDO)- People's Artist Bui Cong Duy and many famous artists will bring a special "Happiness Concert" at Ho Guom Theater on the evening of December 29.

People's Artist Bui Cong Duy, Honorary Professor KazNUA, Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Academy of Music, art director and performer at this year's event, shared that "Happiness Concert" will bring the audience a night of music filled with the colors of illustrious classical music, where outstanding works by great composers converge.

The program will bring the audience to emotions from deep to exciting through 20 classic songs from historical films of the world, famous arias in operas, musicals or "Christmas Carols" full of Christmas and New Year, where outstanding works of great composers converge.

The program features famous classical works such as "La Danza" - one of the highlights of Gioachino Rossini's "Les soirées musicales" collection. Written in the style of a tarantella, a lively folk dance from Southern Italy, this work is energetic, joyful and captivating from the first notes. There is also the sweet and romantic melody of a romanza such as "Musica Proibita" (Stanislao Gastaldon), or "Meine Lippen, sie küssen so heiß from the operetta Giuditta" (Franz Lehar), a charming and enchanting aria that combines grace, passion and top-notch vocal technique.

In addition, the concert also featured the performance of "The Legendary Radetzky March" (Johann Strauss I). This is not only a classic work by Johann Strauss I but also an energetic piece of music, symbolizing joy, unity and timeless spirit, a symbol of pride and the spirit of victory.

Returning to the flow of time in recent years, audiences continue to be immersed in the space of classic film soundtracks. "He's a Pirate" is the energetic and vibrant theme song from the blockbuster "Pirates of the Caribbean". Composed by the talented trio Hans Zimmer, Klaus Badelt, and Geoff Zanelli, this work has become a musical symbol associated with the image of epic adventures, fierce battles, and the free spirit of the sea. In addition, it is impossible not to mention "Music of the Night", one of the outstanding and enchanting songs in the legendary musical "The Phantom of the Opera" by Andrew Lloyd Webber.

The concert also featured a special soundtrack from the documentary "Vietnam", written by Gara Garayev - one of the most prominent representatives of Azerbaijan, who was a student of D. Shostakovich. Garayev has written music for dozens of films and that has occupied an important place in his creative journey.

And to blend in with the brilliant Christmas atmosphere before the New Year, there will be joyful and bustling Christmas Carols. "O Holy Night" is one of the most famous Christmas carols, composed by French musician Adolphe Adam in 1847. Based on the poem "Minuit, chrétiens", the work brings a solemn, emotional and sacred atmosphere to the Christmas season. Or besides that, there is also "Silent Night" (Stille Nacht), one of the most famous and beloved Christmas carols in the world. Since its inception, "Silent Night" has become a musical symbol of the Christmas season, translated into more than 300 languages and performed all over the world, bringing the message of peace, love and hope to all mankind....

"Happiness Concert" is scheduled to be held annually on New Year's Day, this year is the first program.

This year's program features 120 Vietnamese artists from the VNAMYO Youth Symphony Orchestra - Vietnam National Academy of Music under the baton of conductor Tran Nhat Minh. In addition, there are soloists and world-famous singers such as soprano soloist of the Belarusian Opera House Claudia Potemkina, Italian tenor Manuel Amati and Dao To Loan of Vietnam.
