The Year of the Snake is approaching, in the joyful atmosphere of welcoming Tet, medical examination and treatment facilities in the province have proactively developed a plan for Tet duty, prepared human resources, medical equipment, medicine, etc. to ensure continuous medical examination and treatment activities and effectively carry out epidemic prevention and control work before, during and after Tet.

In the lobby of the patient reception area, Mai Son District General Hospital has decorated a Tet landscape with pink peach blossoms, red parallel sentences, green Chung cakes and bright yellow flowers... bringing a warm and loving Tet atmosphere, helping patients have more joy and motivation to overcome illness.

In 2024, Mai Son District General Hospital examined and treated 70,900 patients, reaching 103% of the plan. It is estimated that during Tet, patients coming for treatment are often in serious condition, with common diseases being traffic accidents, injuries, food poisoning and diseases related to alcohol abuse. The hospital has developed a 24/7 readiness plan to ensure medical examination and treatment for people in the area during Tet.

As the leading unit in the province, Son La General Hospital has proactively prepared all conditions in terms of human resources, medicine, medical equipment... ready to receive emergency, examine and promptly treat patients during the Tet holiday. The hospital has arranged a 24/24 hour on-call team, ensuring full on-call at 4 levels.

To carry out the task of ensuring people's health care during the Lunar New Year 2025, the Son La Department of Health directed medical units to develop plans to be ready to respond to epidemic situations; visit and wish a Happy New Year to inpatients, especially those in difficult circumstances, the poor, and policy beneficiaries.

Mr. Tran Thanh Binh - Deputy Director of the Department of Health of Son La province: In preparation for the upcoming Lunar New Year, we have directed medical examination and treatment facilities to prepare adequate equipment for emergency care, especially for cardiovascular strokes. These are the most common diseases when the weather changes. The second is to prepare well for medicine and medical staff to be ready to provide emergency care to patients when they come for medical examination and treatment. The third is that we must strengthen the techniques so that when people come to perform the techniques, they can avoid transferring to another facility in the recent past.
