Dak Nong receives 17.8 billion VND to support people in the North

Comrade Ha Thi Hanh said that as of 4:00 p.m. on October 1, the whole province had mobilized and contributed over 17.8 billion VND to support people in the northern provinces affected by storm No. 3.

Comrade Ha Thi Hanh, member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dak Nong province, said that despite many difficulties, the spirit of solidarity and willingness to share of the people of Dak Nong province towards compatriots affected by storm No. 3 is very great.

Of which, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province received over 3.4 billion VND; Dak R'lap over 2.3 billion VND; Krong No over 2.1 billion VND; Dak Song over 2 billion VND; Gia Nghia City nearly 2 billion VND; Dak Mil district over 1.8 billion VND; Cu Jut district over 1.6 billion VND; Dak Glong district over 1.3 billion VND; Tuy Duc district over 1.1 billion VND.

At the same time, 19 trucks from Dak Nong province directly transported hundreds of tons of food, provisions, and essential supplies to promptly support people in the northern provinces.

This shows that, despite many difficulties, the spirit of solidarity and willingness to share of the people of Dak Nong province towards compatriots affected by storm No. 3 is very great.

Speaking at Discussion Group 1, comrade Ho Van Muoi, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the sharing and donations of all levels, sectors, localities and the entire population in donating and supporting the people of the northern provinces affected by storm No. 3. This result was partly due to the Provincial Party Committee's proactive launch, quick and timely appeal and the spirit of solidarity and unanimity of the entire population.

Currently, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee is requesting a policy to directly transfer 7 billion VND to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and 2 billion VND to the Fatherland Front Committees of the 5 heavily damaged provinces. The amount of donations and mobilization is transparently disclosed on mass media and social networking sites for people to follow.
