Dak Lak recovers more than 1,300 military and homemade guns

Today, November 1, information from Dak Lak Provincial Police said that after more than 2 months of continuing to launch a peak campaign to mobilize the entire population to hand over and fight against criminals violating the law on weapons, explosives, and supporting tools, the police force has recovered more than 4,000 weapons, explosives, and supporting tools.

Of these, there were 21 military guns, 1,378 homemade guns of various types; 2,118 bullets; 237 primitive weapons and 234 illegal support tools.

During this period, the police of many communes, wards and towns actively went to each household to propagate the harmful effects and negative consequences of buying, storing and using illegal homemade guns and support tools and mobilized people to hand them over.

Many people have voluntarily surrendered their weapons to the police. Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Huy Thanh, Head of the Department of Administrative Management of Social Order of Dak Lak Provincial Police, said that the collection of weapons and explosives is to ensure security, order and safety for the people.
