Vietnamese Ambassador to Cambodia presents credentials

On February 7, 2025 in Phnom Penh, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the Kingdom of Cambodia Nguyen Minh Vu presented his credentials to Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni.

After the official ceremony, King Sihamoni spent time receiving Ambassador Nguyen Minh Vu and members of the Vietnamese Embassy delegation in Cambodia.

At the reception, King Norodom Sihamoni welcomed Ambassador Nguyen Minh Vu's appointment as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the Kingdom of Cambodia; expressed his belief that with his extensive working experience and strong determination, Ambassador Nguyen Minh Vu will have a successful term, excellently fulfill his duties, and make many positive contributions to the Cambodia-Vietnam bilateral relationship.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the Kingdom of Cambodia Nguyen Minh Vu presented his credentials to Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni.

The King sent his best wishes to General Secretary To Lam, President Luong Cuong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man; emphasized the significance of the long-standing traditional friendship and solidarity between the two nations; recalled that King Sihanouk and President Ho Chi Minh were the ones who laid the foundation for the diplomatic relations between the two countries; that relationship continues to be nurtured and developed by later generations of leaders and people of the two countries; expressed his joy at witnessing the friendship and cooperation between the two countries increasingly developing in all fields from politics, foreign affairs, national security and defense to economy, trade, tourism and people-to-people exchange...

Affirming that Cambodia always remembers Vietnam's contributions in the past struggle for national liberation, helping Cambodia escape the Pol Pot genocidal regime; expressing the hope that the relationship between the two countries will continue to be maintained and developed to bring practical benefits to the people of the two countries. The King also highly appreciated Vietnam's comprehensive development and expressed his belief that, under the leadership of the Party, National Assembly and Government, the Vietnamese people will continue to achieve even more success.

Thanking the King for taking the time to receive and receive the letter of credence, and conveying the greetings of the Vietnamese leaders to King Sihamoni and Queen Mother Monineah, Ambassador Nguyen Minh Vu expressed his honor to be appointed as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the Kingdom of Cambodia; affirming that the good neighborly relationship, traditional friendship, comprehensive and long-term cooperation between the two countries, which has been cultivated by generations of leaders of the two countries, has been continuously consolidated and developed; affirming that Vietnam always attaches importance to and gives high priority to consolidating and enhancing solidarity and comprehensive cooperation with Cambodia; pledging that in his new position, he will strive to do his best to contribute to bringing the relationship between the two countries increasingly deeper, more substantive and effective according to the direction of the Leaders and the aspirations of the people of the two countries.

King Sihamoni spent time receiving Ambassador Nguyen Minh Vu and members of the Vietnamese Embassy delegation in Cambodia.

The Ambassador highly appreciated the important significance of the King's State visit to Vietnam in November 2024 in further promoting the bilateral relationship; at the same time, he expressed his deep gratitude for the good feelings and valuable care, support and assistance of the former King Sihanouk, the current Queen Mother Monineath and King Sihamoni for the country and people of Vietnam, as well as the traditional solidarity and long-standing friendship between the two countries.

The Ambassador highly appreciated and expressed his admiration for the great achievements that the Cambodian people have achieved in all fields, including stable politics and security, economic development, and the people living in peace and doing business in peace. He expressed his belief that under the wise reign of the King, the wise leadership of the Senate, the National Assembly, and the Government of Cambodia, the Cambodian people will continue to have peace, stability, and achieve even greater successes on the path to building a prosperous and happy Kingdom of Cambodia; its prestige and international position will be increasingly enhanced.

Ambassador Nguyen Minh Vu respectfully extended the invitation of the Vietnamese high-ranking leaders to King Sihamoni and Queen Mother Monineath to visit Vietnam again soon. King Sihamoni, on behalf of the Queen Mother, conveyed his deep gratitude to the Vietnamese high-ranking leaders and wished the Vietnamese people to continue to gain greater achievements on the path of building and developing a prosperous and prosperous country.
