The 15th Congress of the Forestry Sub-Department Party Cell

BHG - On the afternoon of April 10, the Provincial Forest Protection Department Party Cell held its 15th Congress for the 2025-2027 term. This congress was chosen by the Department of Agriculture and Environment (DARD) Party Committee as a model congress to gain experience in organizing grassroots congresses. The Party Cell of the Forest Protection Department currently has 28 Party members. During the 2022 - 2025 term, despite facing many difficulties such as climate change, complicated violations of the Forestry Law, and limited investment resources for forest management, protection and development. However, the Party Cell of the Forest Protection Department has strived to overcome difficulties, leading and directing the completion of 100% of the resolution targets. The forest coverage rate of the whole province in 2025 is estimated at 60%; the number of forestry law violations decreased by 32% compared to the previous term. Nature conservation, forest protection and management, forest fire prevention and fighting, reserve investigation and forest carbon credit projects have been implemented effectively and in depth.

The Party cell also directed the good implementation of programs and projects such as: Setting up forest boundary markers, forest fire forecasting, mapping three types of forests and projects to conserve Tonkin snub-nosed monkeys. Promoting administrative reform, applying information technology in management and professional activities, towards comprehensive digital transformation. Completing 4/5 targets of Resolution No. 16 of the Provincial Party Committee on sustainable forestry development for the period 2021 - 2025.

Regarding Party building work, the Party cell has continuously improved the quality of activities, strengthened inspection and supervision, and effectively implemented the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and lifestyle. The rate of Party members completing their tasks well or better each year reaches 100%, and during the term, 1 new Party member was admitted. The Party cell has actively reorganized and improved the organization and apparatus, reducing 1 specialized department and 2 affiliated units.

Speaking at the congress, the leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Environment acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts and achievements of the Party Cell of the Forest Protection Department in the past term. They requested that in the coming term, the collective of cadres and party members in the Party Cell promote the spirit of solidarity, overcome difficulties, study and implement well the directives and resolutions of the higher levels; strengthen inspection and supervision; strive to complete the resolution targets. Immediately after the Congress, it is necessary to develop operating regulations and detailed plans to implement the resolution targets; grasp the thoughts and aspirations, encourage cadres and party members to work with peace of mind in implementing the organization and streamlining; advise on the development of plans for forest management, protection and development at the grassroots level when there are no more district-level administrative units, ensuring timely response when situations arise; apply technology in professional activities; promote propaganda and mobilize people to raise awareness, responsibility and actively participate in forest management, protection and development.
