Da Nang launches tourism stimulus program: A series of attractive programs

The Department of Tourism has just issued a plan to implement a stimulus program to attract tourists to Da Nang city. This is a driving force for the tourism industry to strive to reach more than 11.9 million visitors as planned in 2025; at the same time, contributing to the implementation of Plan No. 135/KH-UBND dated June 12, 2024 of the City People's Committee to implement Directive No. 08/CT-TTg of the Government dated February 23, 2024 on comprehensive, rapid and sustainable tourism development in the coming time.

Enjoy Danang 2025 - Multiple experiences

The city is implementing a tourism stimulus plan in 2025 called Enjoy Da Nang 2025 - Diverse Experience for international and domestic tourists; international tourists will return to Da Nang from 2020.

The implementation period is from February to December 2025, with priority given to promoting and stimulating demand to markets on major holidays and events of the country and the city such as the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Da Nang City (March 15 to April 15, 2025), National Day September 2 and low season (August 30 to October 31, 2025; Christmas and New Year 2026. The stimulus plan includes two major programs: "Enjoy Da Nang 2025 - Multi-experience": emphasizing innovation; introducing new tourism services and products of Da Nang and "I love Da Nang - I love Da Nang": attracting tourists to return to Da Nang.

The Enjoy Da Nang 2025 - Multi-experience program applies to all domestic and international tourists. Accordingly, visitors are exempted from entrance fees for some tourist areas and attractions (Da Nang Museum, Cham Sculpture Museum, Da Nang Fine Arts Museum, Ngu Hanh Son National Special Monument Site)...

The city encourages all tourism service businesses: cuisine, shopping, entertainment, to have special preferential policies; at the same time, deploy specific service packages to attract visitors with new highlights. Specifically, accommodation combos and historical attractions with prices starting from only 499,000 VND; accommodation combos and night services with highlights of Da Nang Downtown complex, Han River cruise, Bach Dang walking street... with prices starting from only 499,000 VND; accommodation combos and unique culinary restaurants in Da Nang with prices starting from only 499,000 VND...

The I love Da Nang program applies to international tourists who have been to Da Nang from 2020 to present and return to Da Nang. It focuses on some key markets such as China, Korea, Japan, ASEAN... and international visitors to Da Nang on new routes in 2025.

Expected to give away 10,000 vouchers (valid until the end of 2025); direct discount of 20-30% on entrance tickets to famous places in Da Nang; lucky draw to receive 50-100% discount vouchers, free hotel rooms in Da Nang, free experience of Da Nang tour program...

Creating momentum for tourism development

Mr. Cao Tri Dung, Chairman of the City Tourism Association, said that Da Nang is a leading locality in the country in effectively implementing stimulus programs for domestic and foreign tourists. Tourism stimulus programs have been implemented regularly and continuously for many years and have maintained their popularity, creating a boost in terms of products that are both new and increase the experience and value for tourists; at the same time, this is a model of effective and successful cooperation between state management agencies and the domestic and foreign business community.

The new point of the city’s tourism stimulus program this year is to focus on the 3 low-peak periods of domestic visitors, while clearly identifying the source of visitors for each promotion period. For example, the period from March 15 to April 15 focuses on visitors from the Central Highlands market; from August 30 to September 30 focuses on visitors from the whole country; and December focuses on foreign visitors…

Accompanying the Department of Tourism, the City Tourism Association will call on tourism service businesses to participate deeply in stimulus packages; form outstanding product packages, creating high attraction for tourists to serve peak promotion activities; identify customer markets, timing, communication promotion activities, and strongly promote to domestic and foreign markets; proactively establish sales groups in Da Nang and localities to quickly bring stimulus products to consumers through traditional platforms and e-commerce channels.

According to Ms. Truong Thi Hong Hanh, Director of the Department of Tourism, the department is in charge of organizing the implementation of the stimulus program to attract tourists to Da Nang in 2025. In particular, it will organize the introduction of new and unique tourism products of Da Nang and promote destinations in 2025; preside over and coordinate with the Tourism Association, District People's Committees, Department of Industry and Trade and related units to mobilize tourism service businesses (hotels, travel agencies, transportation, tourist attractions, etc.) to participate in the program...

The Department of Tourism continues to promote communication about the program on international and domestic channels suitable for each market; communication through tourism and service businesses, especially targeting the retail market; communication through channels of localities and units that have signed cooperation agreements with Da Nang. At the same time, invite famous people (KOL), organize famtrips, presstrips to Da Nang to experience and promote the campaigns. The Da Nang 2025 tourism stimulus program mobilizes the participation of all levels, sectors and businesses in the service and tourism industry; forming many highly competitive products, attracting good customers...

With this program, the tourism industry expects to achieve the planned target in 2025 with the number of guests served by accommodation establishments estimated at more than 11.9 million (an increase of 10% compared to 2024); revenue from accommodation, food and beverage, and travel strives to reach more than VND 36,000 billion (an increase of more than 16% compared to 2024).
