Poetry Day "Spring of Aspiration" in Quang Ngai homeland

(Baoquangngai.vn) - With the theme "Spring of Aspiration", the 23rd Vietnam Poetry Day program brought more than 10 unique poetry and music performances; deeply expressing the feelings of Quang Ngai people for their homeland and country in the new spring.

On the afternoon of February 12, at Tu Nghia High School No. 1 (Tu Nghia), the Provincial Literature and Arts Association coordinated with the Department of Education and Training to organize the 23rd Vietnam Poetry Day with the theme "Spring of Aspiration", on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025.

Attending the program were Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department Vo Thanh An; Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, former Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department Dang Ngoc Dung; leaders of departments, branches, agencies, units, along with a large number of poetry lovers; teachers and students of the school.

With the theme “Spring of Aspiration”, the 23rd Vietnam Poetry Day introduces more than 10 outstanding performances, praising love for the homeland and country; aspirations in the new spring, and profound human values ​​in life.

The performances were performed by authors, poets, poetry lovers, students and teachers of the school in many different forms, such as: Poetry recitation, poetry reading; poetry performance with singing, dancing and music; modern dance. The harmonious combination of sound, light, props and costumes in the performances contributed to creating a unique cultural and artistic space.

In particular, at the program, students also had the opportunity to interact with poet Thanh Thao, a great name in modern Vietnamese poetry. He is the author of many famous poetry collections and epic poems. Some of his poems have been included in textbooks in the general education program for Literature.

Within the framework of the 23rd Vietnam Poetry Day Program, the Provincial Literature and Arts Association displayed about 100 artistic photos of people, nature, and life in Quang Ngai by photographers in the province. Mr. Lam Du Xenh, in Chau O town (Binh Son) also performed calligraphy and gave calligraphy to delegates and students participating in the program, contributing to spreading the beauty of traditional culture of the nation every spring.

Since the first Vietnamese Poetry Day was held in 2003, the program has been organized by the provincial Literature and Arts Association 23 times on the occasion of the Lantern Festival, at many different locations; of which, the 22nd time was held at Tran Quoc Tuan High School (Quang Ngai City).

The program aims to honor and celebrate the precious values ​​of Vietnamese poetry in general and Quang Ngai in particular. Organizing the program in schools also contributes to spreading love, arousing pride and inspiration for poetry creation in today's young generations.

Speaking at the program, Dr. Nguyen Dang Vu, Chairman of the Provincial Literature and Arts Association, emphasized that in 2025, Quang Ngai province will organize many meaningful activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Ba To Uprising (March 11, 1945 - March 11, 2025); the 50th anniversary of Quang Ngai Province Liberation Day (March 24, 1975 - March 24, 2025) and the 50th anniversary of Southern Liberation and National Reunification Day (1975 - 2025). The 23rd Vietnam Poetry Day is a meaningful activity towards these particularly important events.
