Dien Bien TV - On the morning of February 7, the Steering Committee for implementing projects under the overall project of activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory held a conference to report on the progress and implementation status of the projects.

Specifically, the total investment for the rural electricity supply project from the national grid is 1,260 billion VND. In 2024, the project will be allocated 500 billion VND. Currently, all component projects have started construction, some villages have been built, completed and accepted, and supplied electricity to the people before the Lunar New Year of At Ty 2025. By the end of 2024, the capital disbursement rate is 269 billion VND, reaching 54% of the plan.

For the Project of Preservation and Restoration of the Center of Dien Bien Phu Citadel, combined with the renovation of the green tree system at the relic sites, the total investment is 260 billion VND. The project has been allocated 60.1 billion VND, but has not yet been disbursed. For the Urban Refinement Project of Dien Bien Phu City, it has been completed, put into operation and is focusing on completing the project capital settlement documents according to regulations. The Project of Preservation and Restoration of the Him Lam Resistance Center (Phase II) has a total investment of 91 billion VND, the Provincial People's Committee has approved the project and the contractor selection plan. The project is expected to start in the first quarter of 2025.

Provincial Party Secretary Tran Quoc Cuong gave a speech at the conference.

Speaking at the Conference, Comrade Tran Quoc Cuong, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, suggested that in the coming time, the People's Committees of the districts should strengthen monitoring, inspection, supervision, and urging agencies and units to speed up the progress of construction packages under the Rural Electricity Supply Project from the National Grid. For projects to preserve and restore relics that are behind schedule, relevant agencies and units need to focus on completing investment procedures and starting the project soon. The Provincial Party Secretary also suggested that the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism study and supplement a number of plans to build green parks at relic sites such as Doc Lap and Hong Cum to restore, preserve and promote the values of the relics.
