This warning clearly states: Recently, in tax management, Hue City Tax Department has received many reports about the appearance of a number of subjects impersonating tax agencies and tax officials to commit fraudulent acts.
Specifically, the subjects impersonating tax authorities require taxpayers to write applications for tax reduction and tax refund of business establishments with full content of taxpayers' personal information (full name, date of birth, citizen identification number, permanent address, current address, phone number, business license number, etc.) to steal information, bank accounts and some other information with the purpose of appropriating assets and appropriating other personal information of taxpayers.
The City Tax Department affirms that in tax management, there are no regulations allowing civil servants to use personal phones, Zalo, personal Facebook... to request taxpayers to provide personal information as above. The Tax Department also recommends that when taxpayers receive calls or messages about the above content, they should not provide personal information, not follow the instructions, messages or fake calls; and not transfer money to intermediaries showing signs of fraud. At the same time, when seeing signs of fraud, taxpayers should contact tax officers of the Tax Department, tax branches in the area for support through the electronic information page of the Hue City Tax Department; Taxpayer Support and Propaganda Department (phone number: 0234.3829000).
