In the story of village and commune affairs, in Vuong Loc, everyone knows Mr. Doai Frontline. The simple but decisive man, who speaks as he does, acts as he speaks, has initiated, motivated, led movements, campaigns, and united the people of both religions in Vuong Loc. Step by step, he has helped the people of "Vuong Lay" rise up to become rich, reaching the standards of an advanced new rural commune.
After returning to his hometown after being discharged from the army, Mr. Doai initially only worked in the village's Youth Union, but he was later elected as the Secretary of the Commune Youth Union, the Standing Party Committee, and then Vice Chairman of the Commune People's Committee, then Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Commune People's Council. Having held the position of Secretary of the Commune Party Committee for more than two terms, Mr. Tran Van Doai has a lot of experience and advantages when he was trusted and assigned to do Front work.
Talking about the rise of Vuong Loc commune - the place that contains his passion and youth, for more than 30 years holding key positions in the commune, Mr. Doai has worn out every village road, alley, poor and near-poor households' houses to propagate and mobilize people to develop production, call for support to build Great Solidarity houses, build new rural areas...
Vuong Loc is a commune with over 9,000 people, with nearly 30% of the population being Catholics. The commune is located in a low-lying area of the district, people mainly engage in agricultural production, life is still precarious, roads are difficult to travel, muddy, especially in the rainy and stormy season, so this place was previously called "Vuong Lay". At the beginning of the 2019-2024 term, the poverty rate still accounts for 6.23%, the number of temporary houses and degraded houses is still high. Traffic roads in residential areas are narrow, many cultural residential areas are degraded, cultural institutions are lacking and do not ensure community activities. The construction of model new rural residential areas and the results of implementing movements still have many limitations.
“In the above situation, implementing the Directives and Resolutions of the superiors, we have focused on the campaign “All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas”, calling for and mobilizing all social resources to eliminate temporary houses, build Great Solidarity houses for poor households and organize many meaningful activities with the motto “the whole country joins hands for the poor, leaving no one behind”. Therefore, during the past term, Vuong Loc commune has built 98 Great Solidarity houses, reaching nearly 20 houses/year” - Mr. Doai said.
Among them, Mr. Tran Van Doai himself directly lent money to 3 families to build houses when he had not yet called for support sources. In addition, Mr. Tran Van Doai Front is also a "bridge" to build a great solidarity bloc of Catholics and non-Catholics, connecting with the parish priest to support Caritas capital - a charitable organization - to build houses for Catholics and non-Catholics in the commune.
Talking about the Chairman of the Commune Fatherland Front, Ms. Dang Thi Chau (Lang Moi village, Vuong Loc commune) expressed: "The Chairman of the Front travels a lot, talks a lot, is dedicated to work, is close to the people, and has a hand in everything he does, rolling up his sleeves to help the people overcome difficulties, so everyone respects and trusts him."
Thanks to flexible propaganda and mobilization methods, especially always understanding and sharing with difficult circumstances, in the past term, the Vuong Loc Commune Fatherland Front Committee has mobilized a total budget from socialized sources of over 6 billion VND and thousands of working days of the people. Every year, the Commune Fatherland Front organizes many social security activities such as: organizing meetings, giving thousands of gifts to poor households and households in difficult circumstances, meaningful gifts worth from 300 thousand VND to 1 million VND. These are meaningful activities that not only improve people's lives, but also have profound humanity, effectively implementing the For the Poor movement and contributing to the commune achieving Advanced New Rural Areas.
Vuong Loc achieved the new rural commune standard in 2016, reached the advanced new rural commune standard in 2023, and is striving to achieve the model new rural commune standard by 2025. Vuong Loc Commune Party Committee has ranked first in the district for 3 consecutive years (2021, 2022, 2023). In 2021, the Commune Party Committee was awarded a certificate of merit by the Standing Committee of Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee, and the Commune People's Committee was awarded an emulation flag by the Provincial People's Committee.
In response to the concerns of the Dai Doan Ket Newspaper reporter about the local capacity in implementing the new Action Program of the Vietnam Fatherland Front: "Building a self-governing, united, prosperous and happy residential area", the Chairman of the Vuong Loc Commune Fatherland Front Committee did not hesitate to share his plan.
According to the Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vuong Loc commune, in order to "Build a self-governing, united, prosperous and happy residential area", we must first of all encourage all classes of people to promote the fine cultural traditions of their homeland, promote the spirit of self-governance, and constantly build a "self-governing, united, prosperous and happy" residential area, which is truly a livable place for every citizen, a place to preserve and promote the fine cultural values of the family, clan, village and locality.
In the atmosphere of welcoming the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairman of the Vuong Loc Commune Fatherland Front Committee Tran Van Doai expected that the work of the Front in the new term will have many innovations, innovations, further enhancing the strength of the great national unity bloc, contributing to building the homeland and the country to become more and more prosperous.
