Kinhtedothi - The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF), as the center of the great national unity bloc, will wholeheartedly accompany and support poor cancer patients in difficult circumstances to have more motivation to overcome the disease" - Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front affirmed.


On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, on the afternoon of January 25 (ie 26th of Tet), Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Do Van Chien and the Central working delegation visited, encouraged doctors and gave gifts to cancer patients being treated at K Hospital, Tan Trieu facility, Thanh Tri district, Hanoi.

Also attending were Party Central Committee member and Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan.

Directly visiting and giving gifts to patients being treated at the Pediatrics Department and the Emergency Resuscitation Department of K Hospital, Tan Trieu branch, the Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front sent his regards and New Year wishes to the patients and wished them peace of mind during their treatment so that they can quickly recover and return to their families.

Mr. Do Van Chien said that in order to share with those in difficult circumstances, ensuring that everyone and every family has Tet, on the occasion of the Lunar New Year of At Ty 2025, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front organized delegations to visit and give gifts to cancer patients in especially difficult circumstances being treated at 4 hospitals: Central Cancer Hospital, Nghe An Oncology Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City Oncology Hospital, Can Tho City Oncology Hospital, with 800 gifts worth 1,040 billion VND.

"For normal people with cancer, they have to face many difficulties, but for the poor, those with cancer are in the most difficult circumstances. In the near future, the Central Fund for the Poor will have new approaches to provide the most practical forms of support for cancer patients in difficult circumstances across the country. The Vietnam Fatherland Front, as the center of the great national unity bloc, within its scope and responsibility, will do its utmost to accompany, support, and help poor cancer patients in difficult circumstances to have more motivation to overcome the disease" - Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front expressed, and affirmed.

Talking to the doctors and nurses on duty during the Lunar New Year, Mr. Do Van Chien shared the difficulties and hardships of the team of doctors and nurses who, day by day and hour by hour, wholeheartedly and wholeheartedly treat and encourage patients to help them overcome both material and spiritual difficulties, especially as the New Year approaches.

According to the Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Politburo recently issued Resolution 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation. This will be the basis for providing more resources for the health sector in general and K Hospital in particular to continue promoting research and transfer of science and technology to be worthy of being the leading unit in providing examination, treatment and care services for cancer patients as well as training and transferring advanced techniques in oncology in Vietnam today.

On the eve of the New Year of the Snake 2025, the Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front respectfully sends his thanks and wishes the team of doctors, nurses and medical staff across the country in general and K Hospital in particular a new year of good health, happy families, and success in completing assigned tasks.

On behalf of the leaders of the Ministry of Health, Minister Dao Hong Lan respectfully thanked the Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for his affection in visiting and encouraging the medical staff at the K Hospital, Tan Trieu facility (Hanoi) during their duties and on duty during the Lunar New Year.

Ms. Dao Hong Lan said that in recent times, especially after the Covid-19 pandemic, the health sector has strived to overcome difficulties and challenges to rise up in the recovery process, implementing the task of caring for and protecting people's health. With the attention of the leaders of the Party, State and Government, K Hospital has been invested with resources to purchase machinery and equipment to better serve medical examination and treatment.

The Ministry of Health is preparing a project to submit to the Government to invest in 3 high-quality treatment centers to serve the treatment of patients in the North, Central and South. If implemented, the project will not only contribute to improving the quality of medical examination and treatment in the country but also attract foreign tourists to come for medical examination and treatment.

Dr. Le Van Quang - Director of K Hospital also informed that in 2024, K Hospital will continue to achieve many great achievements, affirming its position as a prestigious address domestically and internationally in cancer prevention. Last year, the average score of hospital quality criteria reached 4.15 points; the satisfaction rate of inpatients was 95.7%.

This year is especially the first year that K Hospital has coordinated with other units to launch the "Relay Journey" Run to raise funds to support poor cancer patients. More than 1,500 athletes participated, raising nearly 550 million VND to send to the Bright Tomorrow Fund to share and encourage cancer patients nationwide.

During the Lunar New Year, patients staying at K Hospital for treatment will receive gifts, lucky money, milk cakes and an additional support of 100,000 VND/person/day. Patients from poor households, near-poor households, ethnic minorities, and people with revolutionary contributions will also receive free meals according to the program the Hospital is implementing.
