In particular, to celebrate the 79th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, Ha Long tourism city organized 23 activities and events to create a joyful and exciting atmosphere, attracting tourists and people. The highlight of the events scheduled to take place during the September 2 holiday is the Sailboat, Parachute, Jet Ski Festival "Overcoming the Waves of Ha Long - 2024" and the Hot Air Balloon Festival "Heritage City - Colors of Ha Long". According to the program, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on August 24, the sailboat team will depart from Tuan Chau Beach, then move to Ocean Park Beach; continue to parade to the coastal area opposite Ha Long Flower Park. After the parade, the sailboat team will gather in formation to create a highlight for the parachute, jet ski and jet ski performance program.
From 5pm to 8pm on the same day, the jet ski team will perform in formation, parade the national flag, combined with flares departing from Hon Gai Passenger Port along the coast to the coastal area opposite Ha Long Flower Park. The jet ski team will perform around the coastal area opposite Ha Long Flower Park. At the same time, the parachute team will depart from 30/10 Square to approach the coastal performance area opposite Ha Long Flower Park.
The Hot Air Balloon Festival takes place on September 1 and 2 with many activities including: Hot air balloon flights; hot air balloon sightseeing; hot air balloon lantern night; hot air balloon ground decoration. Specifically, at 7:00 a.m. on September 1, Ha Long City will open the festival; from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and after 4:30 p.m. every day, hot air balloon flights will be held. Ha Long City issues free tickets (or cards) to control the number of visitors. The venue is 30/10 Square and Ocean Park Beach. For sightseeing activities inside the hot air balloon, it will take place at 30/10 Square from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and from 3:30 p.m. every day. The city will also issue free tickets (or cards) to control the number of visitors. The hot air balloon night will be held from 7:30 p.m. on September 2 at October 30 Square. The ground decoration balloons will take place on September 1 and 2, 2024 at October 30 Square. In addition, the hot air balloon festival will have a supporting activity of paragliding, the flight route from Bai Chay flying over Cua Luc Bay to October 30 Square and vice versa.
This is the first time Ha Long City has organized the Sailing, Parasailing, Jet Ski and Hot Air Balloon Festivals. These special events aim to materialize the Project "Ha Long - Festival City", along with bringing visitors and people impressive experiences, interesting, new and unforgettable feelings when admiring from above the beautiful and majestic space of the city on the shore of Ha Long heritage. This is also an opportunity to promote and boost Ha Long tourism, create attractive tourism products, thereby attracting a large number of visitors to Ha Long, contributing to the goal of welcoming 10 million visitors in 2024 that the city has set.
