The above information was happily announced to Tuoi Tre Online by People's Artist Trinh Kim Chi, head of the Artists' Friendship Committee (under the Ho Chi Minh City Theater Association).
The altar of the theater founder and the altar of artist Phung Ha are placed in the common space of building A6, where Thi Nghe Nursing Center is reserved for artists from the Ho Chi Minh City Theater Artist Nursing Home and Mac Can and Huynh Thanh Tra who moved in to live since February 26.
Stage artists want their team to follow them wherever they go.
Stage artists highly respect their ancestors. Ancestral altars are not only solemnly placed on stages, theaters, and troupes, but many artists also place ancestral altars in their private homes.
The death anniversary of the theater's founder on the 12th day of the 8th lunar month every year is considered the New Year's Day for theater artists. On this day, no matter how busy they are, they still try to arrange to make offerings and offer their sincerity to the founder.
Stage artists are afraid that if they do something wrong, the group will blame them and punish them and not let them work. But if their career is successful, they have many good plays and roles, they believe that they will be rewarded by the group.
Because of that belief, the Ho Chi Minh City Stage Artists Nursing Home has always had a very solemn ancestral altar since its early days.
Besides, there is also the beloved image of artist Phung Ha, who is considered the founder of the theater industry alongside other predecessors.
Ms. Phung Ha is not only a talented artist, a leader, a good teacher but also devoted to life and her profession.
Many projects that benefit stage artists bear her mark, such as the Ho Chi Minh City Stage Artists Nursing Home, the Artists' Pagoda, the Artists' Cemetery, etc.

Therefore, for a long time, the ancestral altar and the image of artist Phung Ha have always been warm, as if protecting old, weak, and sick artists.
So when moving to Thi Nghe Nursing Center, the artists expressed their wish to move the ancestral altar and "Mrs. Bay Phung Ha" along.

On the morning of February 27, Ms. Thanh Thuy, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City, emotionally said:
"This is not just a worship with normal spiritual meaning, but for many of us artists, Mrs. Phung Ha and the senior artists hold an extremely sacred and solemn position in the hearts of the artists."
And she also thanked the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs of the City for listening and sharing, Thi Nghe Nursing Center for supporting the placement of the ancestral altar and artist Phung Ha.
Mr. Nguyen Trung, chief of office of the Ho Chi Minh City Theater Association, said that the altar of the three holy ancestors and the portrait of artist Phung Ha were brought over from the former Artist Retirement Home because the artists believed in its sacredness.
In addition to the ancestral altar and the altar of artist Phung Ha, on the afternoon of February 27, the City Theater Association also placed 10 more stone benches in the front yard of building A6, adding 15 more plastic chairs to the artists' rooms.
Mr. Trung said: "There are two employees, Huong and Hai, who previously worked as security guards, cooks and caretakers for artists at the nursing home in District 8. Now the association has brought them to building A6 to continue taking care of the artists for two more months.
In general, we create all conditions so that artists are not surprised and quickly get used to their new place of residence."
